You will support the development and execution of strategic partnerships and initiatives to drive regional growth and enhance the competitive positioning of Lianhe Zaobao & ThinkChina within the region. You will also be involved in assisting in the collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, support partnership negotiations, assist in regional event planning and execution, and contribute to the successful implementation of strategic projects.
Strategic Planning and Analysis
- Support market research and analysis efforts to identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Assist in sharpening the target audience persona for each identified market.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
Partnership Development and Management
- Support the identification and assessment of potential partnership opportunities.
- Assist in developing and implementing partnership agreements.
- Assist in managing relationships with partners and address any issues that arise.
Regional Events Planning and Execution
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing regional forums and events.
- Support event logistics, including coordination of venue selection, vendor contracts, and participant registration.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure integration of strategic initiatives into broader company operations.
- Support communication and collaboration efforts among internal teams and external partners.
Regional Marketing
- Coordinate with the Branding and Marketing team on regional marketing strategy.
- Track the execution and outcome of regional marketing activities.
- Work with the circulation team on subscription promotion activities in the region.
Any other tasks, special projects, duties, or responsibilities assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Chinese Studies, Southeast Asia Studies, International Relations, Journalism, or other relevant disciplines
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the areas of business development, media and events management i.e. organising conferences, forums and webinars; candidates with more years of relevant working experience will be considered for a managerial role
- Prior experience in handling China-related businesses, SE Asia-related business or industries will be advantageous
- Effectively bilingual in written and spoken English and Chinese as this role supports Chinese publications
- Good knowledge and interest in China/SE Asia and international relations; knowledge of Southeast Asia, Hongkong and Taiwan is a plus
- Possess strong partnership/stakeholder management capabilities and project management skills
- A self-starter, especially in the areas of stakeholder/partner engagement/management
- Willingness to travel as this is a regional role
