About the Role

The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Entrepreneurship, Student SUcceSS Centre, is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager.

What You Will Be Doing

Working closely with the Head (Entrepreneurship), you will develop and conduct entrepreneurship programmes and initiatives.

• Perform gap-analysis on knowledge and skills gaps for entrepreneurial students with special needs
• Develop partnerships with relevant organisations to identify training needs or other potential collaboration opportunities
• Design and drive programme to build startups
• Develop and execute strategy for outreach to students with special needs
• Mentor startups in entrepreneurship programmes by managing their milestones and progress
• Conduct evaluation and assessment of startups
• Manage data and reports to key stakeholders and funders

Other Responsibilities

• Drive community building initiatives and manage relationship development of community of startups, mentors, partners, corporates and alumni
• Provide coaching and advisory support for fundraising and grant application activity
• Assist in overseas expansion and/or incorporation of startups locally and in the region, especially in ASEAN, China and India
• Undertake secondary appointments or duties in SUSS as required

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about entrepreneurship, have awareness of current and emerging practices in the startup industry, are committed to help guide and mentor startups and aspiring entrepreneurs, and can fulfil operational and administrative duties.

Candidates should be intellectually nimble, have an eye for collaborative possibilities and the ability to tackle challenging situations with finesse and determination. A willingness to travel is also expected. Candidate should also have a good understanding of the special needs ecosystem. Prior experience e.g. with a start up, VC/incubator, special needs community and/or in building and managing a community is a plus.

• Degree holder with at least 5 years of professional experience.
• Analytical with strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Intellectually inquisitive; with a good awareness of current and global affairs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing daily business operations, including client onboarding, account management, deposits, and withdrawals.
• Review and refine policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Assist with documentation and maintenance of policies and procedures, ensuring they are current and compliant.
• Aid in coordinating and implementing new projects and product launches, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements, assist in preparing compliance reports, and support periodic policy reviews.
• Assist to reconcile bank records, ensure accuracy in financial data, analyze revenue and costs, and manage currency conversions when necessary.

• No relevant experience required, but a background in Forex, Blockchain or Cryptocurrencies will be an advantage
• Strong proficiency in English and Mandarin (able to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates and clients in view of business communications)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to professionally liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
