The opportunity

This team specializes in the area of ASC 740, IAS 12, provision process and internal controls over the tax provision. As an Associate Partner, you will serve companies that need assistance with tax accounting for transactions or their on-going tax provision process. As you progress, you'll become a trusted business advisor to your clients while helping organizations grow.

Your key responsibilities

As an Associate Partner, you'll lead pursuits and engagements to provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, financial statement disclosures and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts). You'll also assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision. In addition, you'll also have the opportunity review of the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment and assessing tax risk and control environments including BEPS 2.0 Pillar 2 calculations, processes and reporting for multinational enterprise groups.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, supported by significant tax accounting experience;
• Minimum of 15 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization or Controllership function
• Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience as well as experience in Singapore corporate tax planning and compliance
• Strong analytical skills, written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal; problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Organize and staff research programme meetings including minutes writing
• Liaise and work closely with research programme directors to consolidate the research achievements of each programme for reporting to the School Management, Governing Board and Board of Trustees
• To produce PowerPoint slide decks for high-level corporate presentations, reporting purposes and school-wide communications
• To assist the RAISE Unit in the production of materials for visual communication, including report figures and infographics for presentations and reports
