A Senior/Principal Process Development Engineer is responsible for developing or overseeing the development of chemical processes including low carbon processes as well as monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing processes in a pilot plant leading up to a technology transfer. He/she will perform process design, engineering and scale-up of in a Low-Carbon Technology Translational Testbed (LCT3) on Jurong Island leading up to a technology transfer. This role requires good understanding and knowledge of the underlying key process/chemical engineering and scientific principles of low carbon technologies and uses computer aided engineering tools such as simulators, process and plant engineering tools for process development and engineering. The Ocular Epidemiological Research Group at SERI conducts ophthalmic epidemiologic research in Singapore and Asia under the Singapore Epidemiology of Eye Diseases (SEED) programme collectively involving over 10,000 study subjects, with comprehensive clinical, image and genetic data. One of the projects including SEED data is ‘Diabetes studY in Nephropathy And other Microvascular cOmplications (DYNAMO-II)’. DYNAMO-II aims to determine the longitudinal relationship between retinal imaging parameters and long-term risk and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and determine the predictive value of retinal vascular imaging measures in identifying patients at risk of CKD, and other adverse outcomes including renal failure, cardiovascular disease and deaths using both data-derived machine learning and retinal image-based “deep learning” algorithms with validation in different local and international cohorts. DYNAMO also includes a clinical cohort that recruits diabetic patients from clinics to predict the progression of CKD.

2. Calendar Scheduling:

• Manage and coordinate calendars for RO, SRTT CIA and SRTT Central Initiative Directorates (CID) based on event requirements.
• Schedule meetings, appointments, and conference calls.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure timely reminders.

3. Travel Arrangements and Booking:

• Book flights, accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services for work trips for visiting scientists, Advisory board members, senior management and staff.

4. Event Organization and Logistic Support:

• Support in the planning and organization of events, meetings, and conferences for all RO and SRTT activities.
• Provide logistic support for events, including registration and ushering.
• Coordinate the setup of event venues, manage attendee lists, and any other required tasks to ensure a smooth flow of activities.

Job Requirements:

• Degree, any discipline with at least 5 years of professional experience in an administrative or office management role.
• Able to leverage on digital dashboards for monitoring and tracking (Power BI, tableau etc.) will be a plus.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for good relationship management.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and good team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and able to present information in a logical manner.

In this position, you will be a member of Quantum Photonics and Information group and mainly work on continuous variable (CV) based on quantum information technology.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in physics/optics, or closely related fields

To gear A*STAR up for the innovation-driven economy set out by the Research Innovation & Enterprise 2025 Masterplan, the Business Division (“Tech-Biz”) was being established in the Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment (ISCE2) . The BD role will further strengthen ISCE2 in generating economic and societal impact for Singapore.

Importantly, the BD role will seek for new business opportunities to translate chemical solutions from early stage activities to handling of contractual agreements for R&D, licensing and grant management. • Responsible for meeting business targets of achieving incoming industry revenues.
• Host company visits and arrange for site tours.
• Review of technologies, prioritization and establish strategies to commercialize A*STAR ISCE2 intellectual properties in the area of chemicals, decarbonisation and built environment.
• The candidate is required to manage, encourage, support the development and protection of intellectual property and establish IP and business strategies to assist in assessment of inventions, identification of potential markets and competitive technologies.
• Candidate will be required to also build business partnerships and technical collaboration opportunities to commercialise technologies out from research labs and to build the value chain, establishing the value chain with various key stakeholders.
• The candidate is expected to be proactive in scoping/ supporting and manage specific projects to develop initiatives in innovation, IP management creating an impact, including acquiring industrial grants and contracts through meetings with researchers and external entities.
• The candidate will need to demonstrate passion to work with scientists and industries to understand key challenges and find the right solutions to build relationship and understand the technology landscape, highlighting key trends to accelerate spin-out, licensing, and provide leadership and oversight to achieve desired success. Job Requirements:

• Bachelor or higher degree in Science or Engineering
• Strong background, preferably 5 years of working experience in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• At least 4-5 years of Business experience, with strong industry network would be desirable
• Experience in product development and commercialization in industry or start-up preferred.
• Knowledge in handling intellectual property and management including identification, due diligence and protection of IP
• Experience in handling commercial contracts negotiations, project management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently and to work with local and international clientele.
