· Post miscellaneous receipts in the system

· Perform surprise cash counts at Club’s outlets

· Record receipts from customers and members

· Collate entertainment claims receipts from users and update the details in excel on a monthly basis

· Engage with internal stakeholders (business units) on POS matters

· Work with Accounts Receivable (AR) Executive on AR related matters such as sending of monthly statement, update of collections in the system, keying in of daily tenants sales etc

· Initiate monthly GIRO collection from members of Club

· Perform monthly GST reconciliation

· Handle members and non-members queries via phone calls or emails

· Creation of vendor in the system

· Ensure that Financial Instructions Manual, accounting standards, financial policies and all relevant statutory requirements and procedures for financial matters are adhered to

· Identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement within financial processes and participate in relevant IT system development or enhancements

· Any other matters as required based on business needs

Job Requirements

· Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent, preferably with 1-2 years of general accounting experience

· Sense of initiative and responsibility with the ability to work with minimal supervision

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· Analytical and meticulous, a team player

· Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure

· Familiar with ERP accounting system or other financial systems

· Proficient with MS Office especially Excel

The Senior Research Fellow/Research Fellow will be a core member of the Institute for Environment and Sustainability’s research team. Research tasks include working on the Centre for Water Policy’s cutting-edge work on urban water policy and governance, as well as our burgeoning Centre on Climate and Energy. The candidate will lead policy-relevant research projects, take responsibility for project and grant management, and contribute to stakeholder liaison and outreach of the Institute. We are especially looking for candidates who hold a high level of policy research competence in Applied Economics, Public Policy, Sociology, Political Science, Environmental Science or in a related field. In particular, candidates should have demonstrable interest, work, and/or research experience on the policy and governance aspects of water, climate and energy. All candidates should have a strong willingness to contribute to IES’s mission and to engage with new topics and research tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and lead research projects under IES’s various research programmes
• Prepare high quality research papers on topics related to IES’s core research themes suitable for publication in high-tier academic journals
• Contribute to grant and institute-level reporting requirements and funding proposals/applications
• Provide support for IES’s events and outreach activities
• Engage with policy and research communities in Singapore, Asia, and around the world

Requirements

• PhD in Applied Economics, Public Policy, Sociology, Political Science, Environmental Science or in a related field.
• Excellent analytical skills with knowledge of:- big data analytics, economics, econometrics, laboratory/field experiments, game theory and/or agent-based modelling- anticipatory policy design and practice, including path dependency analysis
• Applied social science experience, including independently designing, conducting surveys and analysing its data
• Preference for those with good and relevant publication records / working papers
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Good time management skills and ability to multi-task effectively

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist the Manager in the daily operations and administrative work of the Clubhouse to ensure the smooth operations of the Clubhouse.
