Position Title: Senior/Sales Engineer - Industrial Solutions
Our client is a leading Switzerland based MNC specializing in three divisions: Piping Systems, Casting Solutions and Machining Solutions. They are currently looking for a “Sales Engineer - Industrial Solutions” to support the sales activities in Singapore by promoting their solutions and services for the IS market segment (Microelectronics, ME/Chemical, Chem).
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify & forecast sales potential for the IS market and be accountable for sales targets. Monitor and evaluate the development / behavior of key players (customers inclusive of end customers, consultants, designers, competitors...) in Singapore and translate into marketing strategies and tangible sales.
- Proactively maintain a good network with existing customers by understanding their needs and proposed targeted piping solutions to expand overall sales potential.
- Proactively creating new business prospects and / or new business opportunities.
- Work closely with the operations team to address customer service issues and involve in stock forecasts.
- Maintain sales activity in CRM by updating customer data, planning of visits, generating of sales visits report and updating of projects status timely.
Job Requirements:
- Sales and/or technical experience (minimum 4 to 5 years) with excellent knowledge of IS (ME/Chem) industry; added advantage for those with experience in the ME industry
- For senior position, at least 3 years of sales experience in achieving or exceeding sales targets in ME/Chem-related markets; prior sales experience in related products (e.g. pumps, valves, instruments, etc) for similar industries will be considered
- Prior experience in project sales in ME/Chem-related industries would be a bonus
- Possess a strong understanding of the expectations and requirements of the ME/Chem industry
- Good network and relationships with key players in the ME/Chem industry
- Ambitious and possess a "hunter" mentality; always on the look-out for sales opportunities and willing to prospect with the right stakeholders
- Strong communication skills (internally and externally) with a strong team player approach.
