The Senior Manager is a managerial role and will work towards fulfilling the key strategies of HFCAS. The Senior Manager will work and report directly to the elected Secretary-General and President who serves on the Executive Committee. Job Description:

• Effectively manage the kitchen operations to ensure correct standards and procedures are followed in the daily food preparation.
• Consistently monitor food quality and quantity to ensure profit margins are maintained and operating budgets are adhered through effective control systems.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transfer Pricing professional, who is client service focused, highly organized and detail oriented, to play a key role in the growth of the Tax business unit. A key member of the management team, your role is pivotal to client experience, to accelerating team success and to overseeing the transfer pricing portfolio for our financial services clients.

Responsibilities

• To advise clients on their Singapore and international tax affairs by helping them understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.
• Help clients comply with transfer pricing rules and plan comprehensive tax and transfer pricing strategies through the use of Organisation for Economic Cooperation (OECD) guidelines’ and Singapore transfer pricing guidelines’ methodologies.
• Work with our international clients to understand their business model and plan their transfer pricing policies in line with their business models.
• Undertake functional analysis interviews, benchmarking studies and analysing the clients’ issues for transfer pricing documentation purposes.
• Advise planning opportunities to our clients based on the OECD and Singapore TP Guidelines.
• Coordinate with the Mazars global network firms on client issues.
• Project manage regional and/or global transfer pricing projects.
• Manage projects in relation to transfer pricing audits and regional TP projects.

Requirements

• Degree in law, finance, tax, accounting or relevant discipline
• Motivated, self- driven and ambitious professionals with at least 5 to 10 years of Transfer Pricing experience preferably in the Asia-Pacific and/or Europe Region and from a professional services firm.
• Preferably with experience in dealing with TP matters with Financial Services Clients and/ or Financial Transactions.
• An SCTP accreditation would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on GST implications relevant to their business operations and transactions across various industries, including the financial sector.
• Assist clients with GST registration, exemption applications, and guidance on multiple GST schemes.
• Review and electronically file clients' GST returns.
• Conduct GST health checks, due diligence reviews, Assisted Self-Help Kit (ASK) reviews, and Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) reviews.
• Provide support to clients managing IRAS GST audits and investigations.
• Assist clients in seeking GST rulings from IRAS.
• Support partners in developing the GST practice and participate in ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a relevant discipline, preferably with a professional qualification recognized by SCTP.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Singapore GST, ideally within a professional services or accounting firm.

Job Responsibilities:

Examinations

• Perform technical reviews and checks on the SCAQ professional and foundation exam papers.
• Work with examiners or co-examiners in the setting and revision of examination questions, answers and marking guides for the technical modules and ensure that the examination questions are set at an appropriate level that meets the standard and rigor required for the programme.
• Assist with exam-day administration, including resolution of invigilation matters.
• Manage the exam marking processes, including liaising with markers, managing of exam appeals according to applicable frameworks and policies.
• Support the secretarial duties of workgroups and committees, including material preparation, presentation at meetings, etc.

Learning materials

• Review and check that learning materials are designed and developed according to programme and module guidelines regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
• Liaise with developers, writers and reviewers on the refresh and updates of learning materials.
• Assist in the development of e-learning contents and resources for programme modules, e.g. recorded webinars, quizzes, etc.

Employer management

• Manage accreditation and re-accreditation of employers under the programme.

Learning Organisation management

• Manage accreditation and re-accreditation of learning organisations under the programme.
• Monitor and communicate with registered learning organisations.

University accreditation

• Work with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) based locally and overseas on the review of syllabus and course requirements to support the accreditation and reaccreditation of university degrees according to frameworks and policies.
• Communicate and engage stakeholders in IHLs on relevant changes and updates to the programme.

International recognition and programme reviews

• Work with external stakeholders such as overseas professional bodies and government agencies.
• Participate in the review, assessment and /or negotiation process in connection with module interchangeability, mutual credit recognition, mutual recognition agreements and/ or reciprocity agreements with professional accountancy bodies globally.

Job Requirements:

• An Accountancy degree from a recognised university. Holding a CA (Singapore) or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• At least 6 to 7 years of working experience in accountancy-related fields. Having experience in education or adult learning would be an advantage.
