KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supply chain manager (SCM) reports to the country director, Singapore Country Director(CD).
- Supply chain manager is primarily responsible for four areas in supply chain such as Procurement (sourcing & purchasing), Shipping (import/export), Warehouse and Logistics Management.
- Determine and agree key supply chain KPI's & objectives for His sub-departments and evaluate their progress & achievements through a department meeting and yearly appraisal process.
- Securing that procurement, shipping as well as warehouse and logistics management is performed in accordance with VIKING guidelines and industry best practices.
- Ensure that the sourcing, procurement, warehouse, and logistic functions provides the necessary support to other departments (i.e. Order Fulfilment for Sales & Service) to ensure a smooth daily operation and to achieve Sales & Service target.
- Secure that daily operations are handled correctly in SAP ERP system.
- Aid that the inter-departmental corporation is continuously being improved with the aim to have the highest customer satisfaction (Sales & Service) in the VIKING network.
- Continuously develop best practices in the department and thrive to simplify workflows with the aim to minimize duplication of works and to achieve great satisfaction for employees as well as for internal and external customers.
- Monitor the work of internal stakeholders to ensure that the codes of ethics in their respective area of responsibility are upheld.
- Foster and promote safety culture within the department in co-operation with QHSE manager.
- Prepare and Monitor Risk Assessment for the Department in-cooperation with QHSE Manager.
- Coaching and mentoring of the team members to achieve organization's goals and objective.
- Lead and Conduct Year-End Stock Count.
- Source and Appoint a Waste Management Company approved and licensed by Arm and Explosives (A&E) and as well as National Environmental Agency (NEA) Singapore.
- Prepare necessary SCM Reports for the Team and as per CD Requirements for the Local Management Meeting addressing the Department's Performance.
- Prepare an Annual budget for the Department in-collaboration with CD.
- Conduct ISO internal process audit as and when it's needed.
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned by CD.
KEY FUNCTIONS & TASKS
- To organize and ensure daily effective operation in all aspects of Procurement (sourcing & purchasing), Shipping (import/export), Warehouse and Logistics management
- Implement correct use of SAP in the departments under your responsibility as well as aid training of SAP for other departments upon request, this includes aiding the operation in Malaysia.
- Follow all statutory and regulatory requirements to avoid mishandling of goods and endangering the company business. This is especially important towards our licenses and authorizations.
- Plan and execute Waste Disposal for Dangerous and Control Goods on quarterly basis.
- Optimize work efficiency in the departments under your control to minimize over time and to achieve right work balance for employees.
- Conduct Weekly SCM Meeting addressing Team's and Operational needs.
- Reporting news and issues related to the department or in other ways related to Vikings business to the CD.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (COMPETENCE)
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement fields.
- 3-5 Years Of Industry experiences.
- Leadership Skills, Customer Sensitive, Advanced SAP and MS Excel, Word and PPT Skills
