Our client is a Oil & Gas major and has a strong presence globally. They are looking to fill the role of Safety Specialist (O&G Terminal)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and execute HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) strategies and develop safety philosophies for all processes.
- Direct and engage in safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the sustainability report and ensure prompt resolution of all identified issues and recommendations.
- Offer specialized advice on Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental matters and spearhead risk assessments.
- Effectively manage and resolve action plans, incidents, and inspection findings.
- Maintain close communication with government agencies to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Organize and lead drills and exercises at terminals to improve readiness and response.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of all HSSE-related records.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree or Diploma in Health and Safety Engineering.
- Registered Workplace Health and Safety Officer.
- Fire Safety Manager certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of Oil and Gas process facilities.
- Demonstrated leadership potential with proactive communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of HSSE and local regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel and work across different sites.
- Proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.

- Working days: 5 Days
- Salary: Up to $8K / Negotiable and Bonus (salary will be commensurate according to experience & qualifications).
