New Curriculum - Interdisciplinary Collaborative Core

This interdisciplinary and collaborative curriculum, consisting of 7 core courses, is designed to enhance students' cognitive agility, competence, and character beyond their chosen majors. This role is pivotal to the Interdisciplinary Collaborative Core (ICC) Office’s mission to implement an interdisciplinary and collaborative curriculum aimed at cultivating future-ready graduates.

Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitating and conducting all teaching assignments, both face-to-face and virtual delivery
• Developing an instructional plan (known as a course outline or syllabus) for the course(s) they teach and ensuring that it meets university standards
• Developing, designing, and continuously improving lesson plans and class activities, assignment tasks and rubrics to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement

As a member of the respondents, you will be part of the team responsible for operational support of Authority's Data Centres (DCs) and expected to work independently. Your primary responsibility is to ensure system functionality, availability, data security, and compliance with industry standard. This includes:

a. Facilitating, monitoring and resolving any IT Infra (Hardware) service request/fault.

b. Conducting regular audit check to ensure vendor/user comply to Authority's DC policies/processes.

c. Ensuring smooth DC operation such as coordinating with Facility Management (FM) for any M&E matters.

You will be working closely with all levels of IT Infra support team and is expected to operate, excel, maintain and monitor operating systems of the Data Centres (DCs) whenever and whatever support service for the enterprise system. This includes being on 24 x 7 standby for response and scheduled maintenance events.

Job Scope:

Data Centre Operation Management

1. Work with user (with/without vendor support) for any escorting/installation/decommission/replacement of IT Infra equipment hosted inside the Data Centre, ensuring compliance to Authority policies/processes and update relevant inventories accordingly.

2. Carry out periodic checks inside Data Centre, looking out for any:

a. Unreported IT Infra hardware fault

b. Environment issue to be addressed (e.g.: Faulty lighting, item obstructing airflow)

c. Abnormality status of facility system (e.g.: Air-con) and report it to Facility Management (FM)

d. Non-compliance

e. Collect power utilization statistic (if required)

3. Manage, procure and support provision of Data Centre equipment/systems, peripherals, spares, user documentations and technical manuals.

4. Utilise alerting and reporting systems/tools to monitor Data Centre operation and relevant M&E related equipment status (If deemed required by the Authority).

5. Work with Asset Management (AM) to perform asset tagging for IT infra equipment.

Requirements:

- Diploma in Electrical Eng., Computer Eng., Information Technology or equivalent with at least 1 year of experience in system administrator role.

- Basic understanding of Network knowledge and components

- Experience in administrating Linux (Redhat) and Windows Server (2016-2025) OS

- Experience in managing virtualization technologies like VMware server/ESXi

Research:

You will be working side by side with the network core team in ensuring network availability and serviceability for a secure, resilient and stable distributed environment. Your primary responsibility is to support and maintain the network access layer for our enterprise networks. You will manage access to the wired and wireless networks; ensuring last-mile connectivity for multiple locations. Manage wired and wireless network access infrastructure; and support Data Centre network operations

1. Administer and support network infrastructure including network routers, switches, wireless access points, WLAN controllers, AAA servers and encryptors

The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Undergraduate Studies Section, Dean's Office, Faculty of Science. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -

1) Faculty Co-ordinator for timetabling
