Job Description

The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Undergraduate Studies Section, Dean's Office, Faculty of Science. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -

1) Faculty Co-ordinator for timetabling

• Keep abreast of Science Faculty Curriculum Committee (SFCC)/Board of Undergraduate Studies (BUS)/University Committee on Educational Policy (UCEP)/Senate approved proposals to facilitate planning and scheduling of classes and examinations.
• Coordinate with departments for planning of following academic year's timetable in the Class and Examination Timetabling System (CMIS).
• Update class and examinations timetable changes as and when required.
• Work with departments to verify accuracy of data and resolve any issues for the purpose of Student Feedback Exercise.

2) Pre-examination preparation and during examination support

• Plan and coordinate examination activities for each Academic Year according to the timelines and deadlines stipulated by Registrar's Office.

• Act as liaison between Registrar's Office and departments to ensure that all necessary information are disseminated and shared with all parties involved.

• Assure consistency of Analytical Testing Procedures. The APAC Biological Product Science & Technology (BPS&T) Strategy Leader provides a critical link between the Regional Commercial Units (RCUs) and the Crop Health, Product Science & Technology (CH PS&T) R&D global function. With the direction of the PS&T R&D LT, the APAC BPS&T Strategy Leader coordinates the design and execution of Product Science & Technology R&D activities aligned with research projects spanning discovery through post-launch stages.

The incumbent will define and conduct research across multiple project areas using in-depth knowledge and proactive application of scientific principles, theory and experimental design. Educational Requirements:

Position Summary

• To plan, lead, organise and oversee the teaching and classroom delivery to achieve desired learning outcomes, and organise corporate activities that contribute to the success of the organization and increase customer engagement.
• To set the framework for the centre’s curriculum and pedagogy, ensuring that it is in alignment with MOE guidelines, the centre’s values to create an enriching and effective learning experience for Learning Point students.

Job responsibilities:

1. To monitor and ensure lessons are delivered according to expected standards and desired outcomes through regular class observations and regular trainings or workshops conducted for teachers and associate teachers (Eg. Value-added marking workshops, classroom management, parents management etc
2. To maintain close communications with parents through meet parents meetings, workshops for parents and other written correspondence, eg. newsletters
3. To conduct regular review sessions with staff team to appraise and feedback on work performance and approval of leave teachers.
4. To provide leadership to lead curriculum innovation, curriculum planning, curriculum design and research.
5. To stay current with curricular trends and changes in Singapore and to ensure changes in MOE guidelines are integrated promptly into the centre’s curriculum.
6. To plan, research and create innovative programme/materials that are in alignment with MOE guidelines and create an enriching experience for the centre’s students
7. Collaborate with the marketing manager to provide contents to develop marketing materials to promote a strong and unique branding of the centre’s programme
8. To actively scan the internal and external environments to identify potential problems and opportunities which can be addressed or capitalised to maximise the students’ learning experiences.
9. To shape a culture of high competence, commitment and connectivity
10. Any other duties may be assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years managing a team of teachers
• Minimum 5 years teaching
• Comfortable to travel to all branches. (Thomson Plaza [HQ] for non teaching day, teaching days will be assign to Tampines, Punggol, Parkway, Bukit Timah), no fixed location.
