• Sample Processing:Process a range of patient samples, including bone marrow, peripheral blood, and buccal swabs, with accuracy and adherence to standard operating procedures.

About the Team

The Seed Foundation Machine Learning (ML) Systems team provides end-to-end (E2E) machine learning experience and machine learning resources for the company. The team builds heterogeneous ML training and inference systems based on GPU and AI chips and advances the state-of-the-art of ML systems technology to accelerate models such as stable diffusion and LLM.

The team is also responsible for research and development of hardware acceleration technologies for AI and cloud computing, via technologies such as distributed systems, compilers, HPC, and RDMA networking. The team is reinventing the ML infra for large scale language models. We have published papers at top tier conferences such as SIGCOMM, NSDI, EuroSys, OSDI, SOSP, MLSys, NeurIPS, etc.

Responsibilities:

- Optimizing large scale parallel training for state of the art deep learning algorithms such as large language models, multi-modality models, diffusion, reinforcement learning, etc

- Research and develop our machine learning systems, including accelerated computing architecture, management and monitoring

- Deploy the machine learning systems, distributed machine learning training and inference

- Manage cross-layer optimization of system and AI algorithms and hardware for machine learning (GPU, ASIC)

Job Description

The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Undergraduate Studies Section, Dean's Office, Faculty of Science. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -

1) Faculty Co-ordinator for timetabling

• Keep abreast of Science Faculty Curriculum Committee (SFCC)/Board of Undergraduate Studies (BUS)/University Committee on Educational Policy (UCEP)/Senate approved proposals to facilitate planning and scheduling of classes and examinations.
• Coordinate with departments for planning of following academic year's timetable in the Class and Examination Timetabling System (CMIS).
• Update class and examinations timetable changes as and when required.
• Work with departments to verify accuracy of data and resolve any issues for the purpose of Student Feedback Exercise.

2) Pre-examination preparation and during examination support

• Plan and coordinate examination activities for each Academic Year according to the timelines and deadlines stipulated by Registrar's Office.
• Coordinate system updates for examinations related information and ensure data is appropriately entered.
• Act as liaison between Registrar's Office and departments to ensure that all necessary information are disseminated and shared with all parties involved.
• See to the examinations logistical requirements as well as arrangements for students with special needs.

3) Post-examination activities

Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for research fellow in the Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Yu lab has been established since 2021 and the major mission is to develop new therapeutic strategies for atherosclerotic coronary artery disease and metabolic diseases. We use cutting-edge technologies including functional genomics, CRISPR/Cas9-based functional screening, and multi-omics to discover novel therapeutic targets and disease regulating pathways. Appointments will be made on a one-year contract in the first instance, with the possibility of extension – amend as appropriate.

Purpose of the post

We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in cell biology, molecular biology, and mouse models. Preference will be given to candidate with prior in vivo mouse experience or prior experience with metabolism or cardiovascular research.

Qualifications

1. A PhD or equivalent in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related field.
2. Extensive experience in molecular biology and mouse work as demonstrated by a first author publication in a relevant scientific journal.
3. Willingness to work with mice.

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to perform modelling and real-time simulation of electric vessel’s onboard microgrid and propulsion system.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to develop onboard microgrid simulation models with energy management systems as well as to plan and test the relevant hardware systems.
• Work with research team to deliver the work scope and undertake these responsibilities in the project.
  Work Responsibilities:
  1. Develop detailed electrical models of the microgrid (power system) of various e-vessels based on the concept design in a simulation environment such as Matlab/Simulink.
  2. Design and develop an intelligent energy management system for the e-vessel microgrid for coordinated control of multiple energy sources considering cost, carbon, and operation constraints.
  3. Operate the simulated electrical model with EMS controller to perform simulations for various cases to demonstrate performance and recommend improvements at unit, sub-system and whole system level.
  4. Implement and carry out simulation studies for onboard microgrid and connection to shore charging infrastructure.
• Recommend efficient and reliable power system architecture(s) with other merits of high-density and light-weight.
• Test the relevant power electronics and drives system hardware and troubleshoot the challenging problems.
• Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations.
• Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.
• Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and assist in laboratory management.

Job Requirements

• Have a Master’s or PhD’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University. Major in Power Engineering will be advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in modelling and energy management algorithm development using MATLAB/Simulink for microgrid applications.
• Knowledge of power electronics, drives, and control is highly preferred. Hardware testing experience will be advantageous.
• Have experience and commitment to participate in project meetings.
