DEPUTY MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER, EV TECH UNIT
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of the National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC), under LTA’s Technology and Industry Development Group. The NEVC is set up to facilitate EV adoption, spearhead regulation and deployment of EV charging systems, as part of the development of a thriving Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Singapore. To stay ahead of technological developments, NEVC has set up a Tech unit to facilitate the trial of innovative charging technologies/solutions that goes beyond today’s standards. In this role, you will be part of the EV Tech unit under the NEVC. This role requires technical expertise in EV charging technologies, including safety and standards.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
• Identifying and foresighting new EV charging technology areas with high readiness for wide scale deployment.
• Liaising with representatives from external parties who are keen on trialling novel EV charging solutions; coordinating across internal LTA stakeholders in assessing the submission; and supporting external agencies in reviewing cross domain areas to enable the EV charging trials/sandboxes.
• Developing and organising consultation platforms, both with public and private stakeholders, to ideate and advance on EV charging
solution/technology related matters and opportunities in Singapore.
• Leading grant calls and call for solutions to research into new frontiers of EV and EV charging technology.
[What we are looking for]
• Tertiary qualification with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the EV and EV charging ecosystem;
• Candidates who have experience working in EV or AV industry will have an added advantage;
• Technical understanding of EV charging system;
• Strong design, conceptual and analytical thinking skills;
• Good writing, communication and presentation skills;
• Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently; and
• Keen interest in industry trends and technology developments, particularly for automotive and clean energy sectors.
