Your Principle Responsibilities

• Operate the plant in safe & efficient manner by following the standard operating procedures
• Identify any abnormalities in process, instrument, equipment or machine.
• Take regular samples as per scheduled, analyze and record
• Coordinate with maintenance crew and prepare the unit/equipment for safe handover for maintenance
• Issue permits to work and perform the necessary checks as stipulated in each work permit.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing system is maintained within unit operation.

• Implementation of quality assurance activities

Requirements

• Diploma, Nitec or Higher NITEC Graduate in Chemical Engineering is preferred, but we welcome applicants from other Engineering Fields as well
• Less than 2 years of working experience
• Safety oriented
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and rotating machinery operation.

Job Purpose

Responsible for providing quality oversight to ensure smooth manufacturing operation and new product launches/transfer in a compliant and timely manner. Support drug substance batch review and release in full gmp compliance to regulatory standards and ensures quality strategy/continuous improvement are executed in alignment to site objective/s.

Key Responsibilities

Operational

a. Provide Quality oversight to site operations/objectives

· Oversight of all production and testing activities, ensures compliance with cGxP, incl. data integrity and eCompliance.

· Participate/Support meetings (as required) and team tiered process to monitor/detect/act on anomalies to key site quality KPIs and continuous improvement.

b. Review/ Release of Raw materials and manufactured materials

· Perform and be responsible in ensuring Batch record review and/or release (raw materials and manufactured materials – for authorized person only) is in full cGMP compliance to regulatory and Novartis Quality Standards

· Support the release team in batch release in ensuring batch release (manufactured materials – for authorized person only) is in full cGMP compliance to regulatory and Novartis Quality Standards.

c. Support exception investigations and change control activities

· Lead/support in ensuring a smooth manufacturing operations in production/QC/Logistics, in handling deviations/capa, change control, complaints, customer management, escalation, recall etc are in full cGMP compliance to regulatory and Novartis Quality Standards

d. Support OpEx improvement projects

· Support for end-to-end lifecycle management, timely review & escalation, stakeholder management to achieve agreed outcomes for projects assigned and areas under responsibility

e. New Product Introduction

· Support in ensuring success to new product launch/transfer and equipment/product lifecycle management are in full cGMP compliance to regulatory and Novartis Quality Standards e.g., Product Transfer, Equipment Qualification, Computerized System Validation, Shipping Validation, Cleaning Validation, , Process Validation, Ongoing Process Verification & etc

f. Customer Management

· Lead/support network/project governance meeting and team tiered process to monitor/detect/act on anomalies to project milestones, KPIs and continuous improvement.

· Support in preparing customers request documentation or requests

g. Documents review

· Provide support (Review/Approval) of GMP Record/Document in ensuring compliance to regulatory and Novartis Quality Standards

h. Inspections

· Provide support in ensuring inspection readiness. Support customer, internal Novartis and Health Authority audits.

i. Any other task/duties assigned by Line Manager

Requirements

· University degree with a scientific / technological background (e.g. Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, or equivalent)

· Several years of experience in pharmaceutical quality control, quality assurance or production or relevant quality experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out Operations day to day activities safely in accordance with standard operating procedure

The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore’s Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand. This programme is jointly supported by the Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Workforce Advancement Federation (WAF). The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with Roche.

Who are we looking for?

Job Overview:

The Process Automation group is responsible for the equipment-related functionality configurations of the Process Controls Systems (PCS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and a number of GMP and non-GMP Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) skids. In addition, the group is responsible for the development and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) recipe objects and master data.

This role is part of a team of Automation Engineers handling all process and utilities related aspects of the said systems, which includes but not limited to software and hardware configurations, associated interface with equipment and instrumentation, and Computer System Validation (CSV).

Key Responsibilities:

Under Supervision/Guidance from Automation Engineer (Senior / Associate Principal), trainee shall perform the following:

• Primarily responsible for the equipment-related functionality configurations of the PCS. Additionally, may be required to support equipment-related functionality configurations of the BAS and a number of PLCs.
• Support basic configurations of MES recipe objects and master data.
• Be capable of troubleshooting issues related to equipment and automation systems independently.
• Supporting evaluation of process discrepancies, developing corrective actions, and implementing corrective actions.
• Perform commissioning and qualification activities for automation systems.
• Collaborate with other functional teams such as Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and other functions of MSAT on cross-functional projects and responsibility.
• Adhere to the requirements specified in Automation related Roche’s quality policies/quality standards or related SOP.
• Adopt Roche’s good engineering practice documents as guidance documents when performing the work function.
• Provide 24x7 support when needed.
