Job Scope

1. Assessment

• Assess the suitability of reunification for CYP in out-of-home care
• Assess needs and strengths of family and areas of intervention to provide safe care
• Assess child safety and well-being on an ongoing basis

2. Strengthening (Familial) Relationships

• Collaborate with CYP, families and networks to develop a viable reunification plan
• Facilitate and evaluate contact between CYP and families

3. In-Family Coaching and Support

• Provide in-home coaching and/or therapeutic interventions to support carers in meeting the safety and well-being needs of CYP
• Develop and review safety plans with CYP, families and their networks
• Collaborate with families, their networks and community partners to ensure that safety and well-being needs of CYP will be met in the long term, and reunification with the family will be sustained and permanent

4. System intervention

• Address system barriers that prevents CYP from returning home (e.g. child care arrangements, housing, etc)

Job Requirements

• Degree in Social Work
• At least 2 years of relevant casework experience working with children, young persons and families; prior experience in reunification work with children and young persons in need of care and protection preferred
• Willing to work on a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Able to respond to crisis situations promptly, when needed
• Committed to ensuring child safety and promoting child well-being
• Willing to provide home-based intervention

Job Description

1. Perform frontline duties, greet and register patients.

2. Assist in coordinating and controlling the flow of patients.

3. Triage the patients upon their arrival, measuring their vital signs and directing them to appropriate clinical zones.

4. Maintain medical records of patients.

5. Assist doctors and nurses for various patients' medical needs, such as collecting medications and preparing for wound dressing.

6. Oversee processes and keeping records of billing and payment.

7. Assist in maintaining the medical centre’s various stocks and supplies.

8. Address the questions that any patient might have with regards to the medical centre’s operations and workflows.

9. Liaise with the Penjuru Recreation Centre’s managing agents with regards to security and maintenance of the medical centre.

10. Assist in executing preventive health programmes and lessons for the migrant worker population

11. Assist in any other administrative tasks that other staff may need help with.

Requirements

1. GCE “N” levels

2. Matured and have an aptitude for frontline work.

3. Ability to politely greet, direct and control visitors or crowds.

4. Ability to perform administrative tasks such as registering, billing, data entry, navigating simple computer software and keeping records.

5. Ability to use basic equipment for health screening.

6. Ability to work and think creatively.

7. Fluent in spoken and written English. A good command of Mandarin, Tamil and Bengali will be welcomed.
