Service Desk Engineer (L2 skillset)

Brief Description:
Handling tickets and resolving EUC issues.

Job Description:

• Good knowledge of desktop support for both hardware and software
• Basic diagnosis and provide support to resolve issues related to M365, Active Directory, and Windows Operating System
• Single point of contact for end users to log incident and service requests via email and hotline
• Ensuring user queries or issues are captured and validated for further processing
• Co-ordinate with different support team (including vendor coordination) to ensure issue resolved with proper resolution recorded
• Follow SOP and Policy defined
• Escalates next level of technical support for incident resolution, as appropriate
• Monitors the progress and status of all open tickets toward incident resolution ad requests fulfilment
• Monitors and keeps customers/users informed of ticket status and updates at agreed intervals, till ticket closure
• Responsible to produce breaching and ageing reports for tickets logged by Service Desk
• Responsible for Call logging, Call Assignment, Incident Management & Coordination, Call Tracking and follow‐up till closure within agreed SLA
• Implementing best practices to reduce time and increase efficiency
• Incident ownership, monitoring, tracking and communication with all parties
• Focus on First Call resolution to ensure early closure of tickets

Requirements:

• Minimum higher NITEC or Diploma in IT-related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT service desk experience
• L2 desktop troubleshooting skillset
• Possess good customer service, communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Possess good phone etiquette

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality assurance functions with regard to the engine components, process and maintain quality management system while ensuring compliance with all related government agencies, aviation authorities and customers’ requirements and regulations.
• Establish quality procedures and quality control instructions.
• Liaise with customers / vendors / suppliers on non-conformance activities, perform root cause analysis and determine effective corrective actions to reduce or eliminate the cost of poor quality.
• Perform internal audits to evaluate quality system, products and processes (ISO9001 / AS9100 / NADCAP).
• Perform vendors’ and on-site audits as required.
• Uphold customers’ and regulatory authorities’ requirements.
• Carry-out other QA functions as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ of relevant experience in Aerospace QA environment.
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous attention to details, able to multi-task and commit to job.
• Familiar with ISO9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System requirements.
• Experience in using problem-solving tools including fishbone diagrams, FMEA and 5-whys methodology.
• Able to interact effectively with other functional departments such as Engineering and Production to resolve issues relating to products and processes.
• Familiarity with audit covering special processes including heat treatment, plasma coating, NDT would be a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the organization in operating and managing large and sophisticated enterprise database environments
• Ensure database availability and performance in accordance with bank standards.
• Hands on technical expertise and ability to work independently.
• Provides technical guidance and advice for Application teams during incident resolution.
• Perform analysis on complex issues involving database performance, database capacity, resiliency, stability, replication, and other key aspects of distributed database technology.

• Evaluate releases of MSSQL and its tools, and third-party products to ensure the entire Database environment is appropriate and compliant with minimal impact.
• Providing Oracle 11g/12c/19c database administration, database security and production support, primarily in a UNIX/Linux environment

• Knowledgeable on Oracle, MSSQL, MariaDB’s Backup & Recovery

Experience/Skills:

• Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent
• Extensive experience in database administration with at least 5 years in a senior role.
• At least 10 years of experience in RDBMS administration
• At least 5 years of experience in MSSQL / Oracle DB /MariaDB administration
• PowerShell scripting is required
• Good knowledge in MSSQL Backup
• Experience working in a bank is a plus
• Experience in MariaDB, Sybase, Hadoop is a plus
• Experience with Linux System is a plus
