Role Description

Reporting directly to our Chief Product Officer, the Director of Operations owns the vision and execution of all back-office operations within the organization: listing, ground, viewing, along with client success and customer service. The Director of Operations leads one of the two largest teams in the company, currently made of 20 people and forecasted to grow to 30-50 over the next 24 months. The Director of Operations hires, trains and grows all levels of the Operations function and leads the design, development, and implementation of the organisation, processes, and internal software tools allowing the Operations function to keep on scaling with an ever-improving efficiency and satisfaction. Over time, the internal tools and capabilities developed by the Director of Operations are expected to be commercialised, making the Director of Operations become the general manager of a true profit-center, or “a start-up within the start-up”.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy & Operations

• Along with the rest of the executive team, define ambitious goals for the company and translate them into actionable plans and targets for the operations team;
• Take full ownership of the Operations targets and drive the entire Operations team to deliver on or beyond them;
• Get on the ground, analyse data and capture weak signals to define the direction of the operations function, always in the consumer’s favour;

People Management

• Design the future organisation of the operations function and work with your managers and recruiters to fill the roles with the right talents;

Projects and Product

As part of our Operations Consultancy Practice, you will be responsible for providing guidance to Changi’s overseas airports, as well as client airports in operational areas, such as the planning and management of passenger terminals, airside operations, Airport Operational Control Centre (AOCC) management, cargo operations, operational efficiency, Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) etc.

You will need to analyse operational flows / processes and the passenger journey, to identify pain points and be able to recommend solutions i.e., in areas of process / facility / system reorganisation etc. The aim is to help our airports improve operational efficiency, while managing costs effectively. In addition, you may need to guide or support our asset and client airports in developing processes, SOPs and manuals to meet regulatory, operational and business needs.

You will need to engage our airports’ partners and their stakeholders, as well as work with colleagues from different areas e.g., Commercial, Traffic Development, Master-planning, Project Management etc. in developing integrated solutions for our clients.

To perform well in this role, you must have an analytical mind and be able to quickly identify the root causes and issues affecting operations and ultimately, customer service. Role description
Working as part of a Category team that operates as part of an overall Global Technology Sourcing team. Making an ongoing, tangible contribution to cost efficiency and commercial/contractual risk management, through:

• Supporting the Global Sourcing Category Lead – Network and Infrastructure in developing the overall spend category strategy in partnership with key stakeholders and managing the effective delivery of that strategy
