To be a senior contributor in the Trust Services team, supporting the Head of Trust Services (Private Clients) to lead and manage the Private Clients team to be an effective, efficient and profitable part of Ocorian.
The candidate will be responsible for the client administrative delivery, operations and service standards of their area whilst creating strong profitable relationships with clients.
To motivate and promote a culture of teamwork through excellent leadership and mentoring.
Main responsibilities
- Support the local Head of Trust Services (Private Clients) in his/her overall duties, including but not limited to, overseeing the daily client administration, operational aspects, ongoing regulatory and compliance oversight, business development efforts, and motivating the team.
- To support and mentor the Trust Services team including assisting with ongoing client responsibilities, in addition to supporting with the management of the Group.
- Guide, motivate and oversee the Trust officers and managers to ensure excellence in client delivery, within agreed timelines whilst esteeming appropriate risk mitigation.
- Support and ensure performance targets of the Private Clients team are on track and motivating.
- To manage the day-to-day administration of the Private Client team specifically covering a varied and complex portfolio of trust structures, and to maintain a wide knowledge and understanding of trust and corporate administration generally, to include money laundering, compliance and relevant legislation.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of the structures used by clients and the reasons for so doing.
- Act as Director and/or bank account signatory for Private Clients client companies
- Act as Resident Manager for Ocorian Singapore Trust Company
- Act as Data Protection Officer (DPO) for investment holding companies underlying Trust structures where appropriate.
- Foster close working relationships with other service and support lines in the local office and Group.
- To ensure absolute compliance with KYC procedures whilst maintaining knowledge of the client business and operational workloads.
- Work closely with Business Development and Subject-Matter-Experts (SMEs) with the on-boarding of new business within the Group.
- To ensure prompt billing and cash collection are carried out effectively and in a timely manner.
- Any other such duties that would be reasonably required for this role.
