Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to support our on-site project team in delivering effective and efficient services for a large-scale construction project. This role is crucial in ensuring safety compliance and overseeing Health & Safety (HSE) systems on the project site.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Inspections: Conduct daily walks around the project site to inspect safety protocols across all floors.
• Safety Monitoring: Record and report any safety infringements observed during site inspections.
• HSE Management: Manage Health & Safety Systems and assist the Construction Manager in implementing HSE procedures on-site.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure all work methods comply with legal requirements, company standards, and the main contractor’s scope and Method Statements (MS).
• Training Checks: Conduct checks to verify the training and competence of site staff and subcontractors.
• Reporting: Produce daily reports detailing HSE infringements floor by floor.
• Routine Inspections: Perform routine inspections and monitor all work activities to maintain safety standards.
• Risk Assessment Support: Assist in identifying significant factors affecting project design and contribute to design risk assessments.
• Team Management: Oversee the contractor’s HSE team while remaining active on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years in a Construction Safety role, specifically within Singapore.
• Education: Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety regulations (DOSH, NEBOSH) and local HSE requirements.
• Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit, as approximately 70% of the time will be spent walking the construction floors.
• Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of working practices, risk assessments, Method Statements, and safety auditing.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Leadership Ability: Strong leadership skills to influence diverse groups to ensure HSE compliance.
• Resilience: Strong physical and mental constitution to thrive in a challenging work environment.

What you’ll do:

• Set up processes & workflows for efficient delivery of the project BIM deliverables.
• Ensure a healthy start for new projects by conducting kick-off meetings & hand-holding sessions for the project teams on CDE access (Common Data Environment), Information Management, Data exchange, Modelling techniques, BIM coordination & review process, Issue management, As-built verification process, BIM handover process etc.
• Keep the project BIM documents upto date. Includes but not limited to BEP, Project BIM Standards, MIDP, TIDP, Model Tree, LOD table, BIM Collaboration, Documentation standards.
• Attend client meetings & lead the decision-making process affecting the BIM deliverables.
• Conduct Trainings on BIM processes & workflows, Inspire & motivate the BIM teams, Monitor progress. 
• Develop, discover, collect, and share processes, best practices, tools, and techniques of BIM.
• Liaise with relevant authorities for the project’s BIM funding and BIM submissions.
• Work closely with all other departments and project teams to provide solutions for BIM related technical issues. 

Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager, the candidate will be accountable for ensuring the Electrical Subcontractors perform their scope of work in the strictest compliance with the contract documents.  This role is focused on managing the Electrical Subcontractor field installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.  

It is expected that the candidate will be a very detailed individual with extensive previous experience working as an electrical site manager or construction manager on data center projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands-on” work coordinating approved design documents and ensuring installed work in the field comply with such documents.  The candidate must have excellent Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, and vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, Electrical systems interrelationships, construction sequencing and project schedule.

• Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between Mechanical, Electrical and CSA subcontractors during construction.

• Log and post all Electrical changes and as-built information on field drawings. Provide such information to VDC team so such information can be incorporated into the final virtual model.

• Direct, monitor and control the activities of Electrical Subcontractor.

•  Interface with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client provided equipment.

• Liaison with the Electrical engineering consultant, supervisory engineers, Inspectors and relevant staff

• Implement the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. cloud based QA/QC program for the Electrical scope of work.

• Ensure that Electrical Subcontractors adheres to relevant Quality documentation/records.

• Assist in the testing and commissioning of Electrical equipment

• Manage Electrical site supervisors in respective areas

Key Responsibilities

1. Forecasts financial, manpower, and operational requirements for key businesses (start up, warranty, service agreements, paid service). Identifies and pursues service agreement business in conjunction with marketing and sales.
2. Manages start ups in terms of time and cost requirements. Manages local inventories and RMA procedure. Maintains DSO according to goal. Manages systems start up and warranty cost under reserve.
