Description:
As a Sr. Software engineer in Dispute Systems, you will be part of a global team that develops and maintains Visa Resolve Online, a web-based application that enables Visa clients to manage their disputes and chargebacks. You will use your Java skills and experience with various technologies to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality code that meets very high business, security and resiliency requirements. You will collaborate with other teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery and operation of the application. You will have the opportunity to learn and apply new technologies and frameworks, such as AI and generative AI, to enhance the functionality and performance of the application.
Responsibilities:
- Learn the Visa Dispute business domain, analyze requirements, evaluate different coding options and participate in scoping and sizing activities
- Design, develop, test and maintain code for the Visa Resolve Online application
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members including vendor partner teams
- Participate in the technology proof-of-concepts and learn new technologies and frameworks
- Understand and enhance coding guidelines and participate in code review processes
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with Product Owners, DevOps, Security, Automation and Level 3 Support teams to ensure alignment across initiatives.
- Deliver service excellence and innovation, create opportunities, consistently think and act ahead of the curve
**We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all of these characteristics. For instance, we have exciting team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didn’t work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
