The day-to-day activities:

• Working with Kubernetes clusters hosted in AWS
• Ability to apply DevOps practices alongside modern data technologies such as Airflow, Snowflake, Presto and DBT
• Using InfrastructureAsCode tooling like Terraform, Ansible to manage AWS & Kubernetes resources
• Engage with the data-engineering and data-science teams to help build infrastructure and develop software for reliability and scale.
• Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents
• Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
• Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
• Design automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutions
• Design, code, test and deliver software to automate manual operational work. Own your tools and services end to end.
• Be part of on-call rotation for the team’s tooling and 24x7 support coverage as needed

The must haves:

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or similar.
• 4-10+ years professional experience in a software management position.
• Experience with dockers / containers / k8s.
• Have experience working with Datalake architecture.
• Experience with configuration management tools, Ansible is preferred
• Direct production operations experience in a cloud environment.
• Experience contributing to technology and product strategy.
• Experience leading capability building initiatives across diverse areas such as infrastructure and operations automation, software quality, delivery automation and other core engineering.
• Demonstrated experience of driving operational efficiency and transparency of a growing engineering organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement and Project groups to review the scope of work in terms of deliverables to be submitted to the client, to finalize schedules to be met, and utilize resources required as percontract.
• Perform schedule monitoring and updating of project schedule, preparation of periodic Progress Reports with commitments & forecasts. Propose corrective actions and follow-up.
• Prepare various Weekly/Monthly Progress Reports.
• Analyse Subcontractor’s progress report, identify and highlight schedule deviations and delay.

Education Qualifications and other Requirements

• Degree with extensive Project Control experience on major projects working in a contractor environment is preferable.
• Excellence in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and Primavera version 6 (and above) application is a must.
• Minimum 6 to 7 years planning & scheduling in EPC sector is a must.
• Familiar with standard software programs, developing S-Curve Schedule, bar-charts and manpower histogram is a must.

• Responsible for researching, designing, and developing cutting-edge computer and network software, as well as specialized utility programs. This role involves ensuring efficient, effective, and innovative software solutions to meet organizational and user needs.
• Tasked with understanding and analyzing system requirements, this role leverages principles and techniques from computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to develop tailored software solutions. Requirements

NTU Shared Services (NSS) is a centralized unit within Nanyang Technological University (NTU) that provides a wide range of administrative, operational, and support services to various departments and units within the university. Its primary goal is to streamline and optimize processes, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality services to support NTU's core mission of education and research.

The NSS Technical Support Executive is responsible for providing effective IT/AV technical support role, in relation to the generic desktop/ laptop PCs, mobile devices, Audio Visual (AV) equipment, as well as NTU campus software. This includes problem diagnosis, configuration, installation, and general troubleshooting of IT/AV systems and applications, adhering closely to the Service Levels Agreements (SLAs) and policies set by the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site Level 1 & 2 Support in relation to IT/AV- related service disruptions at the Common Teaching Facilities (Lecture Theatres, Tutorial Rooms and Meeting Rooms), One Stop Tech Lounge and Schools/Faculties.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot IT/AV equipment faults and application errors, to restore service provision.

• Troubleshoot technical problems of low to medium complexity, resolution to resolve these incidents.

• Assist in replacing generic IT/AV equipment parts and peripheral components for servicing, as required, and liaising with multiple vendors.

• Provide IT/AV technical support as assigned, in response to ad-hoc manpower request from Local Units (including providing AV support for events, video conference/ meeting/ interview support).

• Respond to all technical emergencies raised by NSS Service Desk.

• Provide face to face IT support by appointment at One Stop Tech Lounge.

• Facilitate processing and tracking of other administrative activities.

• Document IT/AV related problems and resolution procedures in Knowledge Base for future reference.

• Maintain technical documentation related to configuration of IT/AV equipment and components.

• Carry out Asset management in accordance with NTU policy and procedures. Keep track of the IT/AV asset movements at the respective storeroom locations.

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE “A”-levels / Diploma in Information Technology with 2 years of relevant working experience

• Proficient in problem diagnostics and resolution, with the ability to work autonomously

• Good working knowledge on desktop operating systems including Windows 10 and above, Macintosh OS, and associated generic applications

• Working knowledge on other IT domains, including software, hardware, servers and network operations

• Working knowledge in handling/operations on audio/video equipment and its infrastructure

• Preferred experience on programming, ServiceNow, data integration and ITIL Certified
