The Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, chemical engineering preferred
• Demonstrated ability in a production environment with proven experience leading a team
• Experience in multi-functional administrative functions
• Experience working with independent standards organizations and certification programs such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc
• Strong “consultant” skills, including the ability to influence and empower leaders and employees through collaborative engagement and building/maintaining relationships
• High energy, motivation and dedication to take personal ownership of issues and drive them to outstanding outcomes
• Strong business and commercial acumen
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a broad range of audiences
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical reports and documents/standards, make sound judgments, and offer effective solutions
• Ability to successfully lead and develop personnel and work in a team
• Ability to handle and process confidential / critical information discretely
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment across multi-site organizations
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time is required

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Marketing Leadership

• Lead and oversee the provision of market intelligence on products and trends to advise management, Category and drive strategic initiatives and roll-out to Sales team
• Collaborate with Category and Sales team to identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and innovative concepts.
• Establish and maintain strong communication channels with regional and local sales/marketing networks to monitor and act on product trends effectively.
• Spearhead the development and upkeep of marketing database systems to track market trends, product information, and competitive insights.

2. Advanced Market Research and Analysis

• Drive market research initiatives, including engagement with external research services, to collect, analyze, and interpret data on current and emerging food trends.
• Advice Category, Sales and R&D team with insights into market trends, new concepts, and flavor applications to enhance product offerings.
• Conduct in-depth competitor analysis focusing on product concepts, applications, and design strategies to inform competitive positioning.
• Deliver comprehensive evaluations and actionable recommendations to support product development, flavor creation, and market strategies.

3. Marketing Presentations and Communications

• Develop compelling market presentations tailored to customer and sales team requests, showcasing innovative concepts and market insights.
• Act as a key presenter and strategic advisor in customer interactions and cross-functional team discussions.

4. Additional Responsibilities

• Undertake other relevant tasks assigned to support organizational goals and marketing effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food or flavor industry.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Expertise in marketing research practices and principles.
• Proven strategic thinking and analytical abilities to translate data into actionable strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.
