RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Casework Management
- Lead complex case management and psychosocial interventions.
- Provide guidance on high-risk cases and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal care delivery.
2. Team Management
- Oversee and manage the social work team's performance, workload, and case assignments.
- Conduct audits and monitor performance metrics such as case turnaround and documentation quality.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and professional development to staff, including conducting annual appraisals.
- Approve financial assistance recommendations (e.g., Medifund, subsidy deviation) made by the social workers.
- Foster a supportive, collaborative team environment and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
3. Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive resident care.
4. Program & Service Development
- Develop, implement, and evaluate social work programs, including group work and counseling services for residents, families, and staff.
- Lead program assessments and monitor staff performance and program outcomes.
5. Professional Development
- Represent the organization at external meetings, conferences, and events.
- Ensure continuous professional development for self and staff by attending industry events, training sessions, and case discussions.
6. Administrative Oversight
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage administrative functions, including staffing schedules, leave approvals, and financial assistance processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant supervisory or managerial experience in Social Work
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, supervise, and develop staff
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and financial assistance programs (e.g., Medifund, subsidy deviations)
- An accredited Registered Social Worker by the Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board

Working Hours
Under normal circumstances the hours of duty will be as follows:
8.00am to 5.15pm (Monday - Friday, 45 minutes lunch break inclusive)
or
8.30am to 5.45pm (Monday Friday, 45 minutes lunch break inclusive)
