What will you do?

The Team aims to spearhead the digital transformation of government. The GCC (Government Commercial Cloud) platform provides a federated agency hosting and infrastructure through modern cloud architecture implementation and the modernising of Government applications through adoption of agile development practices.

The Team is seeking independent and motivated Solution Engineer who has experience in both small and big scale cloud-based projects, to support agencies and the GCC product team to create value in the GCC platform. This role will work closely with the agency users, GCC product and partnering teams, using a collaborative approach with strong technical understanding, to assist and ensure that the GCC platform continues to add value to agencies.

• Work directly with GCC engineering team, product team and various key stakeholders.
• Support development of proof-of-concepts for GCC platform in concert with product team and various stakeholders.
• Take ownership of end-to-end solutions provided by teams across the organisation.
• Provide system troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains, expect to participate in on-call escalations to troubleshoot customer facing issues.
• Assist in the migration activities for GCC platforms.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines.

• 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst and/or Software Architect role

• Working experience in Singapore payment systems will be an advantage.

The Solution Architect will be responsible for the design and thought leadership throughout the full life cycle of a customer's journey. • Design and develop applications leveraging cloud technologies
• Assist DevOps Engineer on build and release automation
• Work closely with fellow developers in pair programming and code review
• Work closely with Business Analyst, Quality Engineer, User Interface/User Experience Designers to deliver features

What are we looking for?

• Experience with front-end development framework such as React.js / Next.js
• Experience in server-side web application development using Node.js
• Experience on working on CI/CD pipeline
• Experience of leveraging on cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Familiar with Javascript unit testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
• Familiar with Agile and Continuous Integration and Delivery Practices
• Familiar with version control using Git
• Open to work on other platforms because we want a cross-functional team
• Solid Fundamentals in Javascript & Typescript
• Familiarity with building reusable web components will be an advantage
• Familiarity on how search engines components work (crawl, index, search)
• Familiar with practices such as Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development
• Familiar with Docker
• Collaborative team player with good interpersonal and presentation skills
• Minimum of 3-5 years of software development experience
• A Pass in ICT Assessment Certification for Solution Architect or Software Developer by NUS-ISS is a plus.
