TikTok's Recommendation Architecture Team is responsible for real-time computing direction, handling the design and development of real-time computing systems for TikTok videos, live streams, e-commerce, and a billion-user product recommendation system. Requirement:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering

• 6+ years of hands-on programming/application development experience in JAVA, Spring Boot, REST/API

• Experience in building cloud native applications, microservices and cloud platform (Openshift / Kubernetes)

• Proficiency in MySQL/MariaDB or other RDBMS databases

• Experience in Redis/MongoDB & Experience in Unix/Linux

• Good communications skills

• Proficiency in reading and writing technical requirements

• Proficiency in Git and Bitbucket

• Strong knowledge in automated build pipelines like Jenkins using Groovy

• Development experience under an agile development methodology and process

• Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review
• Design new solutions or fixes to enhance existing applications using web-enabled development programs using .Net 4.5, C#, ASP.Net, WCF, HTML, CSS HTML, JavaScript, XML, and similar or other web services and service-oriented tools.
• Strong development skills using Java and Spring Framework, HTML5, CSS3, Angular Framework.
• Strong RDBMS skills using PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid.
• Manage ad-hoc requests and multiple projects simultaneously while operating in a high tempo environment with ever-changing priorities and tasks.
• Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specification documents, user guides, and functional specification documents

Responsible to manage system development, implementation and support of EAI applications, including:

• Develops applications that effectively accomplish client objectives and user needs.

• Designs and writes code for applications and maintain applications databases.

• Analyzes and edits existing software applications to improve and optimize functionality, fix problems, and enable their use on new hardware platforms.

• Remodels and adapts applications as needed to optimize performance.

• Identifies specific client needs and preferences related to the application.

• Tests applications extensively to ensure they are error and bug-free.

• Installs applications and acts as technical advisor.

• Communicates with relevant internal technical stakeholders to obtain information on project limitations, performance requirements and interfaces.

• Consults with clients in the design phase to determine client needs.

• Produces software documentation following company/client software process and templates.

• Participates in software product review meetings and team meetings.

• Performs any other related task as required.

Key Requirement

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or software engineering or related field.

• Seasoned Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• Seasoned experience with Programming Languages such as (but not limited to) ANSI C, C++, and Unix Korn Shell programming

• Seasoned experienced with Linux or Unix and Windows operating systems.

• Seasoned experience working with Oracle Tuxedo, IBM MQ Series.

• Experience in banking or financial industry

• Certification in various programming languages, for example (but not limited to) Java, Perl, Python, C++ preferred.

Will be joining an agile software team, working on developing engaging, user-centric web and/or mobile

applications through practices like pair programming and code reviews. You will also have opportunities to explore

areas beyond software development, such as devops, cloud infrastructure, software QA.

including both mobile and web application frontends as well as its respective backend

Experiences we look out for:

- Experience in modern web/app applications using Javascript (ES5/6)

- Experience in the following would be advantageous:

o Backend development using Typescript

o Frontend development using React.js and React Native

o Database technologies (both relational and non-relational)

o Docker/container technologies

- Familiarity with the following will be an added bonus:

o AWS infrastructure and its managed services

o Development/maintenance of CI/CD pipelines

- At least 2 years of relevant working experience is preferred

• Design both manual and automated test cases and scripts
• Utilize appropriate tools for the development and execution of manual and automated test cases and scripts
• Diagnose, document, help troubleshoot, and isolate bugs and issues encountered during testing
• Log daily progress and escalate testing issues using the appropriate escalation paths
