Job Description

• Work along with the Project team in the DevOps environment.

• Guiding the continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous testing.

• Work closely with the development team and operation team to create DevOps strategy and toolset that suits the individual squads.

• Setup, deploy and maintain scalable, high availability systems

• Perform and automate deployment and security hardening of systems

• Automate and build up scalable containerised systems/environment using latest technologies (e.g. Redhat Openshift, MLOps tools, etc)

• Automate security hardening in testing, deployment and production setup based on industrial best practices

• Setup and maintain CI/CD, automated testing, development and delivery environments

• Writing scripts/programs for service monitoring and health check of systems

• Day-to-day monitoring, backup, deployment and maintenance of systems

About You:

• Experience with cloud orchestration, configuration management and auto-scaling techniques

• Experience on building and developing CI/CD pipeline and workflow (Gitlab CI/CD preferred)

• Experience on building and managing container image pipeline

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible/Terraform

• Experience with installation and configuration of Redhat SSO

• Experience with load balancing setup for TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, routings

• Knowledge of IT security standards, such CIS

• Good hands-on experience on using Infra-as-a-Code for configuration management and application deployment

• Overall knowledge on one or more of the following programming languages (Java, Python)

• Knowledge on continuous integration, test automation, version control, and software configuration management.

• Knowledge of machine learning and setup of MLOps tools such as H2O

Desired Background:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Communications Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years in software development industry or server infrastructure setup

• Experience in software-defined infrastructure (OpenStack).

• Experience with infrastructure provision tools (Docker, Ansible, etc).

• Good understanding of hardware infrastructure systems (network switches, firewalls, routers etc.) and Linux operating system.

• Basic understanding of DevOps principles and practices. Knowledge in DevSecOps will be an added advantage.

• Self-motivated and good communication skills. Good hands-on experience on using AWS Cloud Formation scripts for configuration management and application deployment.

• At least 1-year experience working closely with infrastructure. Experience in Linux, Windows, network troubleshooting is a plus,

• Experience on working in an Agile environment, in a close collaboration with developers, Knowledge on continuous integration, test automation, version control, and software configuration management

Zenith Infotech (S) , a Tech Recruitment firm with 27 years of presence in Singapore, is assiting one of our clients to lookout for Data Engineer, proficient in main skill set of Talend.

Job Scope :

· Using the Talend ETL toolset, to create new and maintain existing ETL jobs.

· Design and implement ETL for extracting and transforming data from diverse sources, such as: Cloudera, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server databases.

· Design and develop database tables necessary along with the necessary constraints as per the requirement.

· Collaborate with Team members to understand source system structures and data retrieval methods/techniques, and tools within the organization.

· Support the development of data transformation logic using ETL tools or scripting languages like SQL, Python, etc.

· Clean, validate, and transform data to conform to target schema and quality standards.

· Work with the Team to execute data quality improvement plans.

· Participate in troubleshooting activities to maintain data integrity and process efficiency.

Requirements:

• Experience with Talend, Python and Spark

• Should have good knowledge and working experience in Database and Hadoop (Hive, Impala, HDFS).

• Understanding of data-warehousing and data-modeling techniques

• Knowledge of industry-wide visualization and analytics tools

• Good interpersonal skills and positive attitude qualifications

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Efficient project management which includes project scheduling, lead, and co-ordinate the whole project team which include supervisors, foreman, workers and subcontractors.

2. Liaise with client, architect, consultant, and main contractor for any site issues to ensure timely project execution. To represent the Company at site meetings and other meetings as required.

3. Responsible for site coordination workers and to make accurate, decisive, and prompt decisions relating to work matters. Feedback to management on site problems for corrective actions to be taken.

4. To ensure details in subcontracts, purchase orders are accurate and meet with the project specifications in covering the full scope of work intended and required by the main contract.

5. Propose alternative design to substitute tender design that is practical, liable, cost-saving and conforms to relevant building code of practice.

6. Source for more competitive costs in equipment and subcontractor costs to minimize project cost and capital utilization.

7. Responsible for preparation, checking and submission of shop drawings before commencement of installation works and as-built drawings upon completion. The drawings shall provide for the openings through building structures for the passage of M & E services and shall ensure conformance to regulation and clients’ requirements.

8. Submission of monthly progress claim to clients and monitoring of variation works, avoid wide differential in claim and payment amounts. To finalize project accounts and variation claims early for client’s verification and payment.

9. To monitor the progress of work on site and recommend, if appropriate, the interim payment certification to supplier/subcontractors proposed by the designated Project Engineer.

10. To access, recommend and recruit suitable subcontractors and work force to provide quality engineering services to our clients.

11. To be readily involved in tender estimation, variation quotation and costing preparation and assist the project manager in the preparation of budgetary statement.

12. Responsible for all correspondences with the clients, authorities, main-contractors, subcontractors, vendors, architects, consultants, etc.

13. To be actively involved with quality management system of the company.

14. Perform any other duties as assigned by higher management or superior.
