The Regional Data Center Solution Architect is a newly created role responsible to lead a dynamic team of plan and spec professionals across the South Asia Pacific (SAP) region. Purpose of the Role

The Solution Manager is responsible for the effectiveness of solution design in PSABDP contract logistics function globally. POSITION OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will be a Senior Technical Lead within the TISC (Technical, Innovation & Supply Chain) architecture team supporting the CPS (Commercial Product Supply) and NAOU (North America Operating Unit) organizations through ensuring all technology delivered meets standards to drive supply chain transformation initiatives. This role is critical to enabling digital transformation through supply chain transformation and ‘plant of the future’ initiatives.

The role focuses on translating business needs into technical systems solutions, within a structured agile framework. This will entail defining systems in relation to enterprise infrastructure, executing activities related to business, IT and partnering with internal and external technical teams in the delivery of solutions. The candidate will have a key role in identifying and recommending products and features, evolving the organization's technical infrastructure as well as leading the implementation of new procedures and techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or significant practical experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years related work experience preferably in manufacturing IT or process Industry.
• Must have proven experience working with IT, OT and supply chain architectures including designing, developing, deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
• Must have a strong practical knowledge of data management, data infrastructure, data Interfacing through Azure based deployments with a focus on maintenance and improvement.

• Oversee the integration of SAP/ERP supply chain applications, ensuring seamless integration with Ignition based infrastructure.
• Providing architectural support for business and ITOT applications by configuring, managing system settings, installing plugins and performing upgrades.
• Lead and guide the development of regional technical teams and junior staff in terms of future production enabling architectures.

Job Summary:

An Application Architect architects and designs technical solutions for IT-related systems. The responsibilities of an Application Architect include working with developers to ensure solutions are technically sound, mentoring junior level staff, and identify and address issues that affect product delivery.

Job Description

• Oversee the implementation of architectures of project scope
• Architect customized reusable solutions of project, program or operational scope
• Design software applications in accordance with the agreed requirement specifications, system limitations and industry standards
• Contribute as a team member to an operational, integration or application architecture, requirements, design, implementation, or on-going operations deliverables
• Assess technical impact of multiple technologies/strategies
• Mentor junior application developers
• Provide advice / support troubleshooting, resolving system issues and identifying enhancement opportunities
• Identify and address technical or operational risks

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 5 years of development experience in Java
• Experience in Spring/Spring Boot and Hibernate framework
• Experience in relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL
• Experience in implementing web services such as RESTful web service
• Experience in Javascript/Typescript frameworks such as Angular
• Have implemented some form of custom frameworks such as security and validations
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced understanding of modern software development methodologies
• Advanced understanding of software testing methodologies, scripting and tools
• Minimum experience of three or more full SDLC for web application projects
• Ability to work effectively in a team and with client

Good to have:

• Experience in Agile development environments
• Experience in DevOps toolchains
• Experience in container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in messaging platforms such as Kafka and IBM MQ
• Experience in Application Servers configurations like WebSphere and WebLogic will be an advantage
• Experience in software testing tools such as Selenium, Karate, Microfocus UFT and Katalon
