Our client (Multinational Tech company) is seeking a detail-oriented Internal Audit Consultant to support our Internal Audit (IA) function in assessing risks, evaluating remediation efforts, and testing the operational effectiveness of controls. This role involves collaboration with key business process owners and IA management to ensure a robust internal control environment that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
This is a Part time (Contract) role : Weekly working hours vary (e.g., 10 hours in Week 1, 40 hours in Week 2).
Job Responsibilities
Observation Tracking & Testing:
- Track the status of remediation efforts for issues identified by Internal Audit and regulators.
- Conduct testing to evaluate the effectiveness of remediation actions
Risk Assessment & Audit Planning:
- Assist IA management in performing and updating risk assessments.
- Draft a proposed Internal Audit plan and identify key program elements for testing, subject to company approval.
Process Walkthroughs & Design Assessment:
- Conduct walkthroughs with key business process owners to understand end-to-end processes.
- Assess the design of policies, procedures, and controls based on industry practices and identify potential design gaps.
Audit Program Design & Testing:
- Assist in designing IA programs, including risks, control activities, and proposed testing plans, or update existing programs.
- Perform testing of operational effectiveness for key control activities, including sample testing and analysis of relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with IA teams to ensure testing aligns with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CPA are highly desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance, preferably within a regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
