CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL COMPETENCES:
(a) Technical qualification in electrical engineering, or a sound engineering background.
(b) Experience post apprenticeship in a practical engineering environment, preferably in a field based role.
(c) Proficient Microsoft Office user i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
(d) The holder will be required to attend training courses to attain Safety Passport, Confined Space and First Aid Competence. There will also be a requirement to carry out customer inductions and medicals.
(e) Able and willing to meet an extensive travel commitment. A full clean driving licence is required.

Job Responsibilities.
To identify faults, repair and test/commission actuators in the field.
(b) To modify/upgrade actuators in the field and at workshop
(c) Carry out inspections/health checks on all manufacturers actuators.
(d) Carry out electrical installation and mechanical installation of actuators and associated retrofit adaption components, pedestals and drive shafts.
(e) Act as a competent person/supervisor when required on individual sites including adherence to all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
(f) To produce risk assessments and review/amend method statements in line with site requirements and the company HSE Policy.
(g) To occasionally carry out actuator repairs in the Service Workshop.
(h) To occasionally carry out a detailed valve survey collecting mechanical data/dimensions.
(i) Complete in full and submit in a timely manner documentation relevant to the role.
(j) Keep the company vehicle clean undamaged and maintained in good repair in accordance with the maker’s service schedule.
(k) To ensure customer satisfaction through professional and efficient service.
(l) Promote the capabilities of the Service and Site Projects Department and identify business opportunities.
(m) Embrace and apply the company’s continuous improvement philosophy.
(n) To help develop skill levels of other craftsman and apprentices within the business and maintain a positive team spirit.
(o) To ensure all incoming and out going products track and maintain manual stock status
(p) Prepare the Necessary Docuemnts and check list for valve assembly and testing.
(q) provide assistance to sales team to identify the stock and specification.
(r) perform the complete valve test (hydro/functional) in front of cleint/inspectors
Expereince will be added advantage:
1. should have passion in performing multi tasking role.
2. experience in Auto cad/plc/control system integration is added advantage.
3. Required Experience: min 10 to 15 years of experience in the same field (Valve integration/Automation)
4. Worked with any major Actuator brand is preferred.
