In this role, the candidate must be able to work effectively with various teams, including SHEIN’s global and market-based Government Relations, Public Relations, Sustainability and business/operational teams.

Responsibilities

Track, monitor and provide assessment of ESG, tech and data, and trade and investment policy issues and their implications to SHEIN’s business and operations
Support the development of recommendations to senior management and relevant internal teams on strategies to manage public policy risks and enhance SHEIN’s corporate reputation
Support the development of strategic partnerships with key global stakeholders (e.g. non-governmental and international organisations, industry associations, government officials and regulators, industry and business organisations), for instance public-private partnerships, strategic investment, business development, or social impact projects
Organise and manage meetings with external parties related to ESG, tech and data, and trade and investment issues, including the preparation of briefing notes/presentations for senior management’s reference
Support the development of SHEIN’s annual sustainability and social impact report and other strategic communications materials in support of the company’s overall policy positioning and profiling

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Global Studies, Law, Economics or related field
At least 5 years of working experience in government relations or public policy relevant to ESG in either the public or private sector
Keen interest in public-private partnerships, strategic investment, business development or social impact projects, with the ability to translate high-level objectives into practical outcomes
Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral) and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

We are now looking for a dynamic talent to join our Singapore team as Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist.

Your Focus

As Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be responsible for the management of registrations, compliance or safety and risk assessment for Animal Nutrition in Southeast Asia. You will work closely with IFF Global, Regional, Country regulatory affairs team and business stakeholders, to achieve IFF objectives.

The role will see you provide accurate understanding and interpretation of relative regulations and the capacity of regulatory knowledge development to explain and defend positions. The Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be a crucial part of Bioscience overall regulatory compliance structure and team. You must ensure compliance within the area of responsibility and support as Key liaison with equivalent roles in the region, to ensure a coherent, consistent strategy on a global basis.

The role will report into the Bioactive Asia Pac Regulatory Affairs Director.

How You Will Contribute

The responsibilities will be progressing over time, and include (but are not limited to) the following:

Preparing product registration dossiers for new approvals and renewals, monitor and follow up process.
Maintain expert knowledge on local regulatory procedures to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements and timelines are met.
Develops and maintain relationships with relevant regional competent authorities and trade associations.
Maintain close interaction with regional business teams to identify needs, align on Regional objectives and prioritize the efforts, while incorporating Global needs.
May evaluate regulatory implications of product and process changes.
Provides Regional strategic input to Global strategies and innovation.
Is responsible for regional execution of Global strategies in alignment with Regional Commercial teams.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

Bachelor degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Science or any other relevant discipline.
At least 3 years of Regulatory experience in Food and Feed industry.
Strong experience in Regulatory Affairs management of registrations, compliance or safety and risk assessment.
Deep regulatory knowledge of the applicable regulatory requirements specifically Animal Nutrition products in Southeast Asia.
Sound knowledge of Regulatory Affairs including:
Product registration dossiers
Regulatory procedures, compliance and regulatory requirements
Evaluation of regulatory implications of product and process changes
Capacity of regulatory knowledge development to explain and defend positions.
Proficiency in English communication skills. Fluency in secondary local language will be advantageous.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Role

Professional Skills

Growing depth and diversity of account experience to provide informed public relations counsel
Strong understanding of public relations and a demonstrated ability to achieve public relations objectives
Develop and draft programs materials based on team input
Oversee and direct media campaigns. Has established relationships with senior print and broadcast journalists
Capable writer and able to generate a range of materials (e.g., client memos, press releases, speeches, articles, case histories, byliners, backgrounders, op-ed pieces, brochures and collateral materials as well as program proposals, which require minimal editing
Demonstrate competence at using internal and external research capabilities and in preparing in-depth analyses
Able to contribute to presentations using internal or external resources
Balance work load and tasks, communicating effectively with team members to reliably implement assignments on budget and on time
Demonstrate solid teamwork capabilities while beginning to build supervisory skills
Efficiently and effectively plan and manage events (e.g., press conferences, media tours, analysts meetings, advocate briefings, etc.) with minimal supervision

Job Description

• As a Director you are a member of the management team of your respective Competence Center/Country.

• You will establish and develop your business activities in your area of expertise and generate trustful and sustainable relationships.

• In your role, you will closely monitor relevant market trends, develop new approaches and methodologies and translate them into impactful business strategies.

• You will responsibly drive, oversee and manage the delivery of value creating consulting mandates.

• You will assume full client ownership and acquisition of new projects, along with being responsible for opening of new target markets and client groups.

• You will take full responsibility for different projects simultaneously. You will ensure alignment of the final project presentation with the accorded project content and approval.

• You are responsible for the management of your respective cost range and Competence Center.

• You will as well participate in marketing activities, e.g. with article publications.

• As a trustworthy mentor, you will build and develop a dedicated team, help people to grow within the firm, thus ensuring Roland Berger's sustainable successful practices.

Qualifications

• We are looking for Directors who will successfully develop the market based on strong healthcare / life-science expertise and with innovative products, with a preference for holders of relevant Degree with additional qualification in General Management or Business Administration.

• With empathic leadership personality, you rely on a sustainable business network and have an excellent track record in successfully acquiring consulting mandates and creating value for your clients, with a minimum of eight to ten years of experience in management of large scale international projects.

• Strong expertise in handling clients, extensive knowledge of project time scheduling and controlling tools and reporting guidelines, with ability to work under tight schedules and drive projects with high speed.

• You possess excellent communication, strong negotiation skills and presentation skills.

• Proven leadership skills in a highly competitive business environment and within multinational projects. Ultimately, we are looking for leaders with entrepreneurial business mindset and the passion to develop people.
