As the Senior System Software Engineer, you will be the technical lead for our scientific instrument system software development. You will be working closely with hardware/mechatronics engineers to define and develop low level communication protocol, motion control and device drivers and firmware to support our scientific instrument system design, development, test, and manufacturing. You also work closely with hardware/firmware/software engineers to define and develop the automated system to support our cutting-edge virus identification equipment. This opportunity will allow you to grow and command the system software design and development of one of the most innovative and leading scientific instruments in the industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and develop system software architecture for Borries instrument system.
• Work very closely with the system hardware engineering team on dissecting system requirements, conducting system analysis, design, and review, to ensure our system design can best meet the requirements in term of functionality, performance and reliability.
• Responsible for defining and documenting the system software requirement, architecture, design, unit test, integration test, and development plan to ensure our system software design and development plan can best meet the requirements.
• Responsible for implementing and testing the system software, tracking its issues until its resolution, to ensure our product can best meet customers’ requirements and delivery timeline.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field.

Job Requirements / Special Skill sets

• Solid knowledge and extensive working experience in low level communication protocol, motion control, device drivers and firmware.
• Solid programming skills in C/C++/C#
• Familiar with Python, Linux and Qt would be an advantage.
• Background in image processing/computer vision/machine learning including programming new image processing algorithm and machine learning tools would be an advantage.
• Solid knowledge and extensive working experience in GUI software design would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills, as well as high creativity, flexibility, and ability to think 'out of the box'.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with other functional teams, especially in a multi-site environment.
• At least 3 years of experience with system/architecture development on an equipment system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• General electrical fitting work including installation of electrical equipment, electrical cabling works, cable trucking, cable conduit and termination, etc
• Maintenance of M&E equipment
• Troubleshooting of electrical system
• Troubleshooting and repair works for air conditioning system (Single Split, Multi Split & VRV)
• Installation of air conditioning system
• On-site maintenance of Air-con and MV system
• Preparation of service reports
• Attending urgent calls during & after office hours
• Any duties as assigned by supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years hand-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and installation in electrical systems
• Must be able to install GI trunking and conduits works.
• Minimum 2 years hand-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair works in ACMV system
• Must have knowledge of Air-con DX system and Chilled water system.
• MUST have Coretrade certificate.
• Basic maintenance knowledge of M&E systems.
• Valid class 3 driving licence is preferred.
• Working location: Island-wide Singapore
• Working hours: Monday to Saturday (8:30 am to 5:30 pm)

Role and Responsibilities

• Keeping track of attendance & leaves of employees and report it to HR.
• Update on daily basis those on MC/Leave/Training/Travelling/ meeting.
• To meticulously orchestrate a series of events and adeptly coordinate all requisite arrangements throughout the year.
• Responsible for local purchase and inventory of workshop.
• Accountable for all admin work of workshop like House Keeping, Security, Pest Control, CCTV, maintenance of AC & other office equipment’s, Water dispenser, Stationery, Dispatch, Pantry & other Vendors.
• Ensure the proper service of connectivity’s like internet, telephone and mobile services.
• Liaise with cleaning company and TOLL management office.
• Liaise with local IT supplier and HQ IT TEAM on internet issue.
• Liaise with Insurance on Medical claim.
• Ensure office Safety (Alarm system).
• Create Purchase order for workshop consumable.
• Manage Travel Desk (flight Ticket, Hotel accommodation, Visas, etc.)
• Broadcast of any newsletter/memo on office related matters from unique group and Circular memo from management Office (TOLL).
• Assist Account on petty cash/Advance cash if required.
• Assist in ordering gas for the use of forklift (whenever required), Hire of crane and forklift from TOLL (Request form).
• Purchase of office goods for. e.g. furniture, stamps, etc. Order online (RS component &Element14) for workshop consumable.
• Maintaining record of asset for laptop, handphones, monitors Desktop, Dongles, sim cards, printers, cupboards, chairs, tables and pantry equipment etc.
• Maintaining good housekeeping practices in all areas.
• Data Entry in D365 System related to Admin work.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine microbiology/chemistry testing services by using established procedures/protocols. Support testing by following procedure in completing validation/revalidation activities (equipment and/or processes) for critical systems and sterilization equipment.
• Perform preliminary investigation and write-up; deliberate with Microbiologist/Chemist in root cause investigations for product/sample failures and Out-of-Specifications (OOS).
• Perform validation/re-validations for new/existing laboratory equipment according to established protocol.
• Update operating procedures and/or validation protocols/reports
• Data entry and trending of routine microbial/chemistry testing for analysis by Microbiologist/Chemist
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records.

Other: in NITEC or equivalent in related science field, 3 years experience previous experience working in a laboratory environment Required or
