Job Description:

As an Account/ Finance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee financial operations within the organization. You will work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial planning.

Responsibilities:

1. Full set of accounts to support CMS licensee dealing in Securities (product financing) and Futures, and as client’s custodian.
2. Assist in managing the Singapore entity financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, daily client fund reconciliation deposit and withdrawal approval.
3. Negotiate with bankers to secure optimal banking solutions tailored to the firm's needs, enhancing financial operations.
4. Review and assess liquidity levels regularly to maintain financial stability and operational efficiency.
5. Review preliminary business contracts, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.
6. Prepare regulatory reporting as follows:

• Prepared MAS reports (Form 1, 2, 3, Quarterly Income & Expenditure), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Compiled and submitted survey issued by Singapore Department of Statistics.
• Managed GST reporting, ensuring accurate calculation and timely submission of returns.
• Oversee CRS and FATCA reporting, ensuring adherence to international tax compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with capital market activities, including securities, futures contracts, and product financing.
• Familiarity with financial reporting, daily bank/broker reconciliations, and computation of financial resources.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Cost Tracking and Analysis:

• Monitor and track costs across projects, operations, and logistics functions to ensure alignment with key stakeholders
• Perform monthly cost analyses to compare actuals against budgets, identifying variances and ends to support strategic decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting Support:

• Collaborate across departments to assist in forecasting activities, and help to develop and maintain cost-effective budgets.
• Prepare accurate cost forecasts and contribute to the budgeting process to support financial planning.

Reporting:

• Produce and provide regular reports on costs, budgets, and variances to keep stakeholders informed and facilitate transparency.
• Generate insightful cost and expenditure reports to support proactive cost management,

Project Cost Management:

• Manage project-specific cost tracking to ensure expenditures stay within budgeted limits and align with financial goals.
• Conduct spot checks on cargo and post-project cost reviews to assess profitability, addressing overspending when identified.

Invoicing and Activity Tracking:

• Generation and processing of invoices, Keeping and maintaining records of contracts, sales agreements, services, and activities are in cost tracker accurately.
• Support accounts receivable (AR) tracking by updating records and ensuring timely invoicing.
• Organize and document all invoices for easy access and retrieval.

Customer Service and Issue Resolution:

• Address customer inquiries and disputes about invoices, handling adjustments, and clarifying incorrect charges.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and customer care to resolve invoicing issues promptly and enhance customer satisfaction.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced staff to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for account receivables, credit controller, cash flow forecast and other accounting roles.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Initiate outbound calls and send emails to account holders to remind them of outstanding payments and secure payment commitment dates.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by addressing billing-related queries and issues.
• Monitor payment dates and follow up with account holders to ensure timely payments.
• Send statements of account, reminder letters, and tax invoices to account holders.
• Monitor customer accounts and take credit & collection responsibilities.
• Prepare and post sales invoices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and track all sales accruals cases.
• Manage and reconcile all AR subledger accounts.
• Prepare a weekly cash flow forecast and analyse the variance.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in preparing reports and loading accounts.
• Perform other ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
