What the Role Is

Be the source of courage and compassion. As a Paramedic Specialist (PRS) with the SCDF, you will be trained to provide first-class prehospital care. When others panic, you are calm and quick to assess and address the patients' needs.

As you progress in your career, you can expect to take up higher appointments such as chief paramedic, paramedic instructor, medical training coordinator etc. In addition, each officer will have an opportunity to further their clinical knowledge and be a Level 4 Certified Paramedic. Good performing PRS can also look forward to accelerated advancement opportunities, where they can be directly promoted to the rank of lieutenant and beyond.

Upon joining SCDF, you can look forward to securing stable full-time employment with an enticing remuneration package. Candidates can stand to earn between $2,450 to $3,550, inclusive of monthly frontline allowances.

What we are looking for

• Diploma from Polytechnic, Higher NITEC in Paramedicine & Emergency Care, IB, NUS High School, NAFA, LASELLE
• Full colour vision
• Male applicants must be PES B and above
• Minimum pass standard for IPPT[BL2]
• For Pre-enlistees, there will be a 5-year Minimum Term of Engagement (MTE) bond in lieu of the National Service’s obligation.

Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) is in collaboration with Sport Singapore to introduce the Specialist Training Scheme (STS) which is a 2-years training programme to complement your education and knowledge from Universities.

You will develop practical, industry relevant skills and experience in the area of Sports Management across the four domains of:

• National Sports Associations (NSA) governance and business capability development
• Athlete pathways
• Coach education and development
• High performance management

Key Accountabilities

Provide administrative support to SSI Sports Performance Managers (SPMs) / NSAs in:

• Developing and overseeing the implementation of Multi Year Sports Plans (MYSPs)
• Monitoring and tracking the implementation of KPIs and Annual Funding
• Arranging and documenting Joint Management Committee (JMC) meetings
• Arranging and documenting Functional Sport Programme (FSP) meetings
• Arranging and documenting NSA Board meetings

Assist Singapore Sport Institute (SSI) / National Youth Sport Institute (NYSI) / ActiveSG C&A / NSAs in:

• Sports and athlete pathway mapping
• Identifying and documenting the ideal athlete Daily Training Environment
• Development of athlete curricula and profile database
• Building the athlete data collection and tracking processes

Provide administrative support to CoachSG / NSAs in:

• Implementing and tracking effective coach and technical officials certification courses
• Implementing and tracking continuous coach education (CCE) workshops
• Checking and registering coaches in meeting the requirements of NROC registration
• The deployment and usage of Sports Management Learning Platform (SMLP) for Coaches

Assist SSI / NSAs in:

• Building of NSAs and Sports Performance profiles through core data collected from NSAs
• Building the data collection and tacking processes
• Documentation of existing data sharing arrangement/processes
• The deployment and usage of Athlete Data Management System and Athlete DTE, Health & Wellness monitoring tools and requirements gathering
• Building and tracking of the NSAs’ competitions/events calendar and NSAs’ membership (Clubs and Affiliates) database

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree in Sports Studies/Marketing/Managment or related specialty
• Background in Sports Management, Sports Coaching, Sports Science or any other sports-related fields.
• Experience of participating or delivering sport programmes, either in the capacity of Performance Athlete, Coach, Sport Scientist or Manager.
• Capable of engaging a diverse group of stakeholders in the spirit of building partnerships.
• Possess problem-solving skills to generate new ideas through evaluating all the different situations.
• An ability to work across a range of areas/sports, possibly outside your current area of expertise.
• Possess good conceptual, analytical and project management skills.
• Possess excellent communication skills (both written and spoken), presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Job Description:

The Technical Specialist / Engineer role is to provide technical service to our enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will be deployed for onsite implementation work and will be on a 5-day work week schedule. He/She will also be required to work / standby on weekend, to help faciliated any migration or scheduled maintenance work.

Responsibilities:

• Basic understand of network and system methodology and know-how.
• Ensure Industry best practices in IT are adhered to and can withstand audits.
• Maintain accurate documentation on networks and system.
• Prompt progress reporting and task update with proper testing.
• To perform other IT related duties when assigned by the management.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Communicate fluently in English - spoken and written.
• Resourcefulness, ability to problem-solve in a systematic approach.
• Good organization skill and able to work independently.
• Possess the right attitude to learn and execute with sense of urgency.

Technical Competency

• Technical scope (Back-end) with strong network setup and debugging skillset.
• Basic Windows command line and CLI skills are advantages.
• Well Verse in Cisco Concept, iOS, Switching and Routing protocol.
• For Support Specialist, MacOS knowledge is a must.

Education:

• ITE / Diploma in Engineering or Information Technology preferred but not essential.
• Fresh Graduate and Senior Candidate (that are looking for new career role) with good understanding of network and system are welcome to apply.
• Technical Certification (eg: Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, AWS, etc) will be advantages.
