Role Details:

Carry out day - to - day operations of the sub service line or team / group within the Singapore Tax Service line and monitor metrics for service delivery, opportunities for improving customer satisfaction and implement appropriate modifications

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with various tax advisory assignments, including but not limited to legal entity and operational restructuring, tax incentive assessment and application, fund structuring advice, etc.
• Assist with Singapore corporate tax compliance, including but not limited to, liaising with clients for information required, preparation / review of estimated chargeable income, preparation / review of tax computations, preparation and submission of tax returns as well as handling queries
• Assist with tax due diligence projects, helping to identify key tax risks and potential deal breakers, and assist with tax structuring for the potential transaction in the context of clients’ investment strategy
• Understand client specification and manage assignment basis various aspects like tax planning, tax compliance, regulations and overall project management.
• Assist partners in business promotion initiatives viz research on specific sectors/ industries, preparing powerful presentation, preparing pitches etc.
• Demonstrate an application and solution-based approach to the problem-solving technique.
• Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and ensure outstanding client service.
• Understand business & industry issues / trends. Identify and suggest ideas on improving engagement productivity and identify opportunities for improving client services
• Research complex tax theory and positions, and apply them to specific client needs.
• Take lead on interaction with the Revenue and regulatory authorities.

Preferred Qualities

• Strong technical knowledge of Singapore corporate income tax laws. Familiarity and practice experience in a Big Four accounting firm.
• Accredition with SIATP will be an advantage.

Job Scope

• Involve in the monthly closing of Accounts and submissions of reports to HQ
• Provide supervision for Accounts Payable
• Support General Manager in annual projection and operating budget and cash projection
• Support General manager in enforcing good internal controls
• Review related Balance Sheet accounts and prepares audit schedule
• Assist and support internal and external audits and update audit and Risks report for Finance Department
• Participate in system enhancements and project implementations to align with new statutory or operational requirements

• Tax will be in charge of all categories of tax matters, including but not limited to tax compliance and planning projects.

Primary Responsibilities Of This Position Include
