Responsibilities

• Preparation and filing of corporate and property tax returns, payments, reports and maintenance of the Company’s tax database. Monitor and ensure the timely payment of tax liabilities
• Assist in monitoring tax audits and inquiries, including preparing responses and providing necessary documentation
• Gather necessary data for tax provision and compliance purposes from finance and execution teams

Requirement:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Minimum Diploma in Finance/Taxation/Accounting
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)

Job description & requirement:

1) Prepare group consolidated accounts, able to execute month end closing and perform full sets of accounts

2) Oversee the preparation of various company accounts and vessel accounting experience

3) Prepare / review accounting and tax schedules

4) Handle GST, corporate income tax and secretarial matters

5) Continuous monitoring and improvement of internal control systems and procedures

6) Liaison with external auditors, tax agents, secretarial agents

7) Any other ad-hoc work as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Accounting / Creditable accounting qualifications

At least 4 years of experience as Accountant or similar role

Hard working with a positive attitude.

Detail-oriented and meticulous.

Able to work independently.

Preferred related working experience in oil and gas, shipping, trading, or ship management is a must.

Must be able to implement and improve cost management system. Proficiency in Excel programming is an added advantage.

Possess excellent interpersonal skills to build and sustain good relationships both internally, and externally with financial institutions.

Good networking contacts in the banking industry so as to recommend the opening of new relationships if necessary with these banking institutions as our business expands.
