Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining tax compliance and reporting of taxes to meet the company’s tax requirements. May provide services in tax research, audit responses and other specific tax-related areas. Ensures company compliance with government laws, governing tax rules for income, Value-Added Tax (VAT) or Goods and Services Tax (GST), sales and use, and/or other tax areas.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Provide support to internal customers for tax-related issues.
• Prepare tax returns and related supporting documents/work papers (income, VAT/GST, etc.).
• Review tax work papers and returns prepared by others.
• Prepare tax provision work papers and summaries for inclusion in global financial statements; evaluate changes in tax law, analyze tax adjustments and tax positions and determine appropriate classification.
• Prepare or review transfer pricing studies (local, regional, global).
• Perform tax research and provide interpretation and application of tax rules.
• Prepare and/or review responses to tax authority inquiries.
• Review tax packages for accuracy and completeness.

• Act as a liaison between tax department and outside service providers or external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform daily accounting and finance duties, including Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, General ledger, Tax and bank reconciliation .

· Oversee timely closing processes and reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.

· Handle monthly journals, audit schedules, and lease matters.

· Prepare assigned reports in a timely manner.

· Prepare quarterly GST reporting

· Reconcile intercompany transactions

· Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and corporate policies.

· Coordinate and liaise with internal and external customers, such as Financial Institutions, External auditors, Tax agents, Corporate secretarial agents, Local tax and government authorities, Vendors and related parties.

· Support system implementation and process improvements.

Requirement

· Minimum diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Bilingual in English and mandarin is an advantage

· Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA Singapore) is preferred.

· 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, fresh graduates are wellcome to apply.

· Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

This includes, but is not limited to, managing reporting, consolidation, treasury operations, taxation, audit, cash flow management, and business planning matters.

Day to Day Activities

• Collaborate with the Senior Finance Manager to oversee the company’s financial well-being and support key compliance areas, including statutory audits, corporate tax, GST, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
• Provide guidance to Finance Executives and Associates by coordinating tasks and addressing inquiries.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, including preparing accounting ledgers, journals, schedules, and financial statements for internal and external requirements.
• Oversee bank and intercompany reconciliations, intercompany billings, and recharges while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Review and approve supplier and customer account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, journal entries, and financial data input into accounting software.
• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, including preparing monthly P&L flux analysis and identifying trends or potential issues.
• Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and company accounting policies.
• Assist in annual external and statutory audits, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulations.
• Facilitate collaboration with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and government authorities to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
• Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance finance operations, strengthen internal controls, and improve overall efficiency.
• Lead or assist in the implementation of new systems and processes, including driving system designs and conducting user acceptance testing.
• Maintain organized and confidential financial records to safeguard sensitive information.
• Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.
