Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining tax compliance and reporting of taxes to meet the company’s tax requirements. May provide services in tax research, audit responses and other specific tax-related areas. Ensures company compliance with government laws, governing tax rules for income, Value-Added Tax (VAT) or Goods and Services Tax (GST), sales and use, and/or other tax areas.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Provide support to internal customers for tax-related issues.
• Prepare tax returns and related supporting documents/work papers (income, VAT/GST, etc.).
• Review tax work papers and returns prepared by others.
• Prepare tax provision work papers and summaries for inclusion in global financial statements; evaluate changes in tax law, analyze tax adjustments and tax positions and determine appropriate classification.
• Prepare or review transfer pricing studies (local, regional, global).
• Perform tax research and provide interpretation and application of tax rules.
• Prepare and/or review responses to tax authority inquiries.
• Review tax packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide tax technical support for restructuring.
• Act as a liaison between tax department and outside service providers or external vendors.
• Develop and maintain current knowledge of changes in tax legislation, rulings, regulations and litigation that may impact the business.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

• Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

• Proposes tax position changes aimed to enhance business and tax efficient financial results.

• May manage complex projects of extensive scope and impact. Creates project plans and is responsible for proper allocation of resources and budget. Enlists and manages participation of other project team members.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly group cashflow for risk assessment.
• Monitor and address bank service fee issues.
• Manage banking relationships.
• Review banking facilities for new needs and competitive rates.
• Prepare Trade Finance & Hire Purchase submissions.
• Handle shipping documents and discrepancies.
• Manage bank account openings/closings, signatory updates, and token management.
• Coordinate board resolutions and minutes for finance matters.
• Manage FX hedging and borrowing rates.
• Ensure banking facilities are adequate for business growth.
• Analyze P&L and balance sheets to monitor compliance with bank covenants.
• Submit monthly treasury report to GM Finance.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
• At least 2 years of relevant treasury working experience particularly in cash management and hedging management
• Prior experience in FX trades
• Analytical and meticulous
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess good quantitative skills, have basic financial modelling and advanced working knowledge in MS Excel
• Driven, independent individual who adapts well in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge in investment portfolio strategy, banking, and financial instruments
