As a member of the Corporate Tax team located in Singapore, the International Tax Manager will primarily be responsible for managing tax planning, compliance and controversy in the region. This will involve driving tax initiatives and technology, reviewing tax processes, helping with tax audits in the region and supporting the business teams in tax matters. This role will collaborate and work closely with the indirect tax team, accounting and other finance and business functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain oversight and co-ordination of tax compliance activities outsourced to external service providers in the Asia Pacific region, including the review of tax returns and tax forecast calculations, as well as technical analysis in support of statutory audit
• Ensure transfer pricing obligations (e.g. documentation) are fulfilled under local transfer pricings laws and regulations
• Provide tax advisory and project management support on ad hoc tax projects as assigned. This can include tax treaty applications and responding to internal and external tax queries
• Assist and manage tax audits in the region
• Integrate processes and technologies to enhance efficiency and quality of tax processes
• Work with the Head of Tax to support the business teams in any tax issues
• Establish a strong relationship with the regional business teams, finance, legal and policy leaders to share tax views and information

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Law
• 10 to 15 years of relevant APAC tax experience – tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax advisory and tax controversy
• Strong analytical, organization, documentation, research and project management skills
• Ability to simplify and communicate complex business / tax information
• Ability to work as a team and interact with personnel at all levels of the organization (including cross-border teams)
• Highly organized, self-motivated, meticulous, and ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment

• Ensure timely month end closing and financial reporting for all Asia entities.
• Prepares financial statement for monthly review
• Statutory audits and any other audit examinations
• Cashflow forecasting and analysis.
• Responsible for treasury related matters.
• Timely tax reporting and filing. Focal point of contact for any tax audits
• Actively drive process enhancement and automation to drive efficiency and value creation to stakeholders.
• Participate in any Ad-hoc projects.

Skills:

• Conversant with IFRS accounting standards
• Familiar with Singapore Taxation. Experience in other tax jurisdiction within Asia highly desirable.
• Hands on experience in SAP
• Keen interest in process improvement and automation

Experience:

• Accounting degree or recognized Accounting professional qualifications
• At least 5 years of working experience
• Experienced Accountant to manage the financial records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across all entities in Asia.
• Have strong interest towards process improvement and automation.
