• To teach all module and subject areas (English, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Art & Design) of the Primary Year 1 Cambridge curriculum (students who are minimum 5 years old).
• Competent to teach any Second Language subject such as Tamil, Hindi, or French.
• Will sit as an Advisory Teacher and Subject Teacher for Cambridge Primary Programme (Year 1).
• Taking daily attendance, maintaining leaves records, and generate monthly attendance report to check and verify.
• Dynamic and able to teach with expertise in Cambridge/IB curriculum (mastery in English, Mathematics, & Science modules)
• Knowledge to teach Tamil as second language in Cambridge Curriculum is preferred.
• Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age students.
• Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
• Planning, preparing, and presenting differentiated lessons that cater the needs of the whole ability range within their class.
• Motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative class activities.
• Preparing, marking, and providing feedback to facilitate positive student development.
• Meeting requirements for the assessment. Records, evaluates, and reports student’s development.
• Providing feedback to parents on students progress.

• Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as and when required.
• Possess a minimum educational certificate in Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent.
• At least 3 year(s) of relevant teaching experience in schools.
• With Pedagogical Certification Qualifications ie., CICTL
• Exposure in other international curriculum such as Cambridge/IB PYP MYP DIP/IGCSE/CBSE/ICSE would be an added advantage.
• Who can teach and conversant with Hindi or Tamil as second languages would also be an added advantage.

Requirements

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education its equivalent recognized by ECDA.
• 2 year of relevant experience in childcare/preschool.

Job Description:

• Assist in implementing classroom management and positive behavioural strategies
• Support students with self-care, grooming, and toileting needs.
• Support the delivery of lessons using appropriate teaching and learning approaches that are aligned with the student’s support needs.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for outreach activities to raise awareness of the services provided by the centre.
• Support the delivery of interventions in collaboration with social service and healthcare professionals.
• Assist in implementing centre initiatives, as well as family and community programs.
• Assist in the preparation of developmentally appropriate materials and resources to create quality natural learning environments
• Assist teachers in collecting data on student support needs, monitoring student learning progress, and providing appropriate feedback. Implement suitable instructional support to address gaps and prepare student learning reports.
