Position Summary:

To be expertise with complete technical knoweldge on troubleshooting, modification and new design for marine and offshore equipment control system & pannel wiring - Cranes, Winches, Hydraulic Power Packs.

Responsibilities:

1. Take full responsiblity from customer enquiry to project completion including all commercial and technical.
2. Lead team on electrical jobs.
3. To prepare electrical Schematics diagram (Single line or Electrical Block Diagram).
4. Design and hands on cable Termination.
5. Equipment technical Specification based on owner’s requirement, Classification bodies, and all relevant authorities.
6. Prepare document for shipyard repairs.
7. Travel overseas on short notice for offshore and marine jobs.
8. Basic knowledge on PLC programming
9. Coordinate with hydraulic team on troubleshooting and rectifications.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 4 to 6 Years on offshore and marine equipments

Working at shipyard environment

Familiar with Microsoft Office

English fluency and report writting skills.

Class 3 driving licence

• Servicing experience on Marine and Offshore deck equipment.
• Intensive knowledge on hydraulic system troubleshooting.
• Hydraulic system modification.
• Knowledge on Low pressure system service and troubleshooting.
• Min knowledge on electical control system and fault finding.
• Service / Troublshoot / Repairing knowledge on marine and offshore cranes and winches.

• Overseas travel on short notice.

Working Hours: 5 Days Work Week, Mon to Fri (8.30am to 5.30pm)

Job Description:

Report to the Project Director / Manager in Charged of the WTW system.

• Provide technical expertise to oversee the design, development and construction of the WTW system.
• Interface with WTW system designer, vendors, fabricators including drawings reviews, sourcing equipment, cost control and monitoring, schedule monitoring and update.
• Oversee project implementation according to the requirements and objectives. This includes schedule monitoring, vendors sourcing and recommendation, purchase/ cost evaluation, resources allocation, attend to inquiries, clarifying technical details, supervising project execution, implementing corrective actions, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests, and finalizing as-built documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in deck machinery using technical manuals, hand tools, and power tools.
• Meticulously maintain records of all changes, maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Develop operating, maintenance and safety procedures for the WTW system.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechatronic or equivalent
• Min 5 years working experience in Marine Industry or shipyard environment.
• Good understanding of deck machinery such as winch, crane, lifting and handling equipment and the related IACS (particular ABS, DNV, BV) rules and regulations.
• Specific experience in WTW system (Offshore Passenger Transfer System) is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulic and electrical system and P&ID with ability to perform trouble shooting.
• Ability to speak both English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients
• Software – able to use MS Office, MS Powerpoint, MS Project, Adobe and AUTOCAD. Ability to use Primavera scheduling software is highly advantageous
• Good understanding of Document Control. Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 QAM system is highly advantageous
• The candidate must be willing to travel and work in marine and offshore environment.
