Your team (Banking Core APAC & MEA – Financial Instrument & Risk) 

The Financial Instrument & Risk team is a dynamic team of Business Analysts and Software Engineers based in Singapore and the Philippines. The team supports our SaaS customers in the region by maintaining existing solutions and developing new features. You will work closely with your teammates, with other related teams in the same division, with back-office users, with clients, and with partners. You will help provide innovative solutions to meet market demands and help shape the back-office landscape of tomorrow.

 
Your key tasks

• Analyse and address inquiries about the Corporate Actions and Settlement module
• Subject matter expert possessing the relevant business knowledge to provide hands-on support
• Proficient in MT54x and MT56x SWIFT MT messages and their corresponding SESE and SEEV SWIFT MX messages
• Understands front to back functionality surrounding various Corporate Action Events (CAEV) such as Dividends, Spin-Off, Rights Offer, Distribution, Stock Split, etc.
• Independently create complete system requirements specifications and provide / validate effort estimates concerning new enhancements.
• Act as liaison between Avaloq, customers, and 3rd-party providers for the development, implementation, and enhancement of existing solutions

You will be part of an IT infrastructure Support Team managing mission critical high-tech biometrics devices at critical locations of significant national interest. You will be trained to manage, troubleshoot and maintain the operational availability of these devices and to remedy faults to prevent operational downtime.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:-

• Support the project teams in the implementation, installation and configuration of PCs/Workstations O.S., applications and related peripheral devices.
• Provide 1st level on-site IT support to the end-users on a 24x7 rotational shift, from 10 am to 10 pm/ 10 pm to 10 am, including Public Holidays.
• The successful applicants should be prepared to be deployed primarily at Tuas Checkpoint. The successful applicant could be deployed to the Tuas checkpoint in the future on a rotational basis.
• Provide findings and timely status updates to the Project Manager on major issues escalated by users.
• Perform daily health checks and inventory checks on the system.
• Experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting of PC / peripheral devices and application maintenance support will be required.
• Hands-on experience in supporting end-users in a Windows (Windows clients) environment is required.

• Having prior exposure to IT operational environments is advantageous.
• A strong Team player with the ability to collaborate and willingness to support one another.

The role:

Tyk Customer Support is the best in the business, we’ve been called ‘too fast’ by clients and we’re known for having knowledgeable and quality engineers responding to clients, no ‘first-line support’.

We’re looking for a Support Engineer to help us build on our reputation for great support, dealing with client support tickets, call requests and community forum posts. In this role you can also contribute to product development, helping implement features and contributing to product discussions, from a support perspective. 

We are helping our customers solve their critical API Management issues, whether that be through custom integrations, partnership relationships, or simply troubleshooting upgrades with their engineering team.

You will work with engineers from the product team to enhance our offering and convey the clients’ needs, as well as contribute to the product, support documentation and other supporting assets.

We’re looking for highly-technical people with Support Engineering experience, who are happy to hit the ground running and help to design what great customer support looks like at Tyk. In return we offer you the opportunity to build your skills as an engineer, through collaborating on our open source product and helping to validate and fix customer issues.

Experience needed:

• Good English writing skills
• Background in software development and/or solution architecture
• General usage of Linux, scripting and related utilities
• Client-facing activities such as video conference calls and in-person meetings
• Understanding of common internet technologies, protocols, standards and data formats

• Solid experience in backend engineering and/or solution architecture for complex systems.
• Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
