Job Description:

• Expand service contract sales, focusing on both acquiring new clients and retaining existing ones to achieve sales objectives and targets.
• Provide customers with quotations for spare parts, focusing on standard items.
• Establish and maintain ongoing, positive relationships with our existing customer base to secure and cultivate future business opportunities. This includes recommending equipment upgrades tailored to customer needs.
• Deliver accurate monthly sales forecasts and reports of area of responsibility.
• Ensure enforcement of all service jobs and purchases, ensure all are correctly captured, ordered, invoiced, and fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Participate in marketing initiatives to enhance sales performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Able to read understand, and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Able to work independently and a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must possess a Singapore Class 3 Driving License

Coordinating the day-to-day operations and inspecting and ensuring the smooth functioning of all the engineering processes

Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction activities, progress, planning, implementation, and monitoring work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed work program
• Provide technical advice on works for Bridge/Tunnel, Underground Excavation, and Tunnelling works
• Coordinate with consultants and authorities to ensure that TBM services are delivered
• Liaise with PE on the Temporary works
• Liaise with consultants (QPS) for technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors
• Handle technical and engineering problems
• Provide guidance to supervisors in relation to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule, quality standards are maintained site inspections are carried out and technical issues are resolved on time
• Prepare report and method statement whenever necessary
• Manage and control workers and monitor their work closely to keep the site safe and neat
• Supervise ongoing site activities closely
• Experienced in grouting reinforcement, muck pit construction, circulating water pool construction, gantry crane installation, and thrust frame installation
• Supervise subcontractors

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in Tunnel Projects in Singapore
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with EPB TBM
• Competent in planning and organizing work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver timelines
• Strong sense of responsibility & good leadership and interpersonal skills
• Good team player with the ability to lead & multi-tasking

As a Salvage engineer, the world is your playground. You never know when or where a ship gets into trouble. That is why for a Salvage Engineer literally every day is different. It sounds like a cliché, but it is the reality. As a Salvage Engineer, you will have an adventurous job. When a ship is in distress, you will travel to the emergency scene with a multidisciplinary team. Once on-site, you work together with the team to repair the ship's plant and get the systems up and running again. It is vital to salvage the vessel as quickly as possible. As well as working on actual ship salvage operations.

Your responsibilities as a Salvage Engineer

• As part of the mobile team, provide support to the Salvage Master/Project Manager at site.
• When at base, assisting the technical manager and the operations manager in the selection of new salvage equipment and setting up the right maintenance procedures.
• Maintaining company owned salvage equipment.
• Sharing knowledge with other engineers about complex ship's systems.
• Advising the salvage inspector and superintendent about how to break into existing ship's systems in order to use them during the salvage operation.
• Producing reports about the actions taken to get systems operational again. As you can expect from a leading international maritime service company, you will work with state-of-the-art equipment.

Your qualities
To make your mark as a salvage engineer with SMIT Salvage, you will need a flexible approach; you never know when or where your next project will be. You adapt easily to working with different teams and you are fully proficient in English. Of course, you are happy to work irregular hours and to spend longer periods of time abroad. In addition, you have:

• A minimum degree in any field with experience sailing onboard ships.
• Worked for at least 5 years on modern (merchant) ships.
• Preferably experience with a range of different types of vessels and engine-room plants.
• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays frequently, with OT and allowances compensated.
