You will assist pharmacists in ensuring the availability of medications and facilitate patient care through processing of medication orders which includes typing, packing and counselling. You will also be required to prepare extemporaneous syrups and to provide customer service and handle simple enquiries on Over-The-Counter medications and other available retail products.

In addition, you will be required to perform administrative duties e.g. pre-packing, cycle counts and topping up of stocks. You may also be given supervisory duties such as roster planning etc.

Requirements

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science from local Polytechnic, WSQ Advanced Certificate in Pharmacy Support or equivalent
• Work experience in retail/hospital/clinic will be an advantage
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays (PHs)

Overview

Perform technical duties under the supervision of pharmacists to ensure safe, efficient and timely distribution of drugs in AH.

Assist the pharmacist in-charge to provide supervision to pharmacy support staff and to coordinate activities within a section to ensure smooth workflow and continuous improvement.

Dispense medicines to the patients according to department policies and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

1) Daily Operations

• Provide professional and courteous service to all patients/customers
• Process medication orders/prescriptions for both inpatient and outpatient
• Picking, packing and labelling in accordance with stipulated policies, guidelines and department standard operating procedures
• Perform billing functions
• Ensures work area is ready for daily operations
• Maintains the cleanliness of the pharmacy and ward areas where drugs are stored
• Involvement in workplace quality improvement projects/activities as and when required

2) Inventory Management

• Ensures stocks are stocked up properly and tidily according to First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) requirement and stipulated storage condition
• Performs topping up of omnicell ward stock in the respective wards
• Ensures correct receiving of goods
• Secondary repackaging/redressing
• Carry out cycle counts and stock takes periodically according to SOPs

3) Dispensing

• Dispensing of medications to patients in accordance with stipulated policies, guidelines and department standard operating procedures

Requirements

• Possess Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) OR Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science
• Completed Basic Skill Test OR Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC)
• Have initiative and able to work independently to achieve goals of the department
• Able to communicate effectively
• Able to function effectively as member of a team
• Flexibility to work on weekends/ public holidays occasionally

We are seeking an experienced full time veterinary technician to join our team of vets and 10 support staff.

Your dedication will be integral in providing a top notch client experience focused on communication and animal care.

You must be competent with inserting IV catheters, taking bloods, setting up fluids, radiograph and ultrasound positioning, and have a Diploma or Certificate in Veterinary Technology, Veterinary Nursing or the equivalent.

Your position encompasses a 5 day work week, or 44 hrs per week (inclusive of breaks), and is inclusive of 1:2 Saturdays. We are not open on Sundays or Public Holidays, and there are no overnight duties. Shifts rotate through ward, surgery and lab.

Continuing education is supported and encouraged.

We have a lovely clientele and see an interesting and varied caseload. Equipment include digital x ray, ultrasound, IDEXX blood machines, IM3 dental machine, vettome, and tonopen. We have a separate cat and dog ward. You will have extensive interaction with our clients, and strong communication skills with a love for both people and animals are expected.
