• PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
• To be responsible for performing preventive / breakdown maintenance on all M&E services and building work.
• To specialise in one or two areas including, plumbing, masonry, electrical, mechanical, air conditioning, carpentry or other areas of maintenance work.
• MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To carry out preventive / breakdown maintenance on all plumbing and sanitary systems of the Hotel.
• To operate and carry out preventive / breakdown maintenance on all mechanical equipment such as air conditioning system, freezer, refrigerators, pumps, coolers, ice-makers and other refrigeration equipment.
• To carry out painting, polishing and varnishing works at the Hotel.
• To operate and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs of all electrical installations and equipment such as generator, fire protection system lighting and power, etc. at the hotel.
• To assist in energy conservation programme and participate in fire-fighting and safety exercise.
• To construct and repair furniture such as cabinet, cupboard, table, chairs, doors and props.
• Any other suitable task as and when assigned by Engineering Manager.

SCOPE

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Technician is responsible for inspecting all M&E systems, fire system and kitchen equipment. The incumbent is required to perform shift duties and other duties as may be arranged by the Director of Engineering or designate. He/she will respond to all work requests from Samfex work order system and attend to all other department maintenance request during shift duties

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

• To repair and install all electrical works in guestrooms and hotel premises
• To carry out cosmetic items such as painting works, vanishing works, masonry works, carpentry works, carpet and other building works in guestrooms and hotel premises
• To ensure all work requests are properly logged and executed and updated at the end of each shift duties.
• To assist and supervise all works carried out by outsourced parties
• To ensure all M&E plant keys are kept properly and readily accessible.
• To carry out plumbing and electrical works in and around guestrooms and hotel premise
• Other ad-hoc duties

REQUIREMENTS

• Positive, friendly, professional and confident, with good interpersonal skills.
• Possesses a Trade Certificate in Building / Electrical / Mechanical
• Minimum 2 years hotel engineering experiences
• Possesses good knowledge of building equipment: heating, ventilation, plumbing, electricity, automatic operation with experience in the maintenance of buildings and facilities HVACR
• Able to perform shift work.

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to perform field technical work in delivering installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair work for the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist to perform the preventive maintenance and corrective work for building services, assets/installations at the client’s premises according to local statutory regulation, HSE, and client’s site-specific requirement, etc.
• Assist to ensure the completion of work orders within the standard KPI/SLAs and the client’s needs are met.
• Support a plant/building shutdown or critical event for the purpose of any preventive maintenance/repairs relating to the assigned asset or equipment and other related operating functions, such as housekeeping, security cameras and access controls, etc.
• Assist to perform regular inspections and inventory of tools, vehicles, and equipment used on the agreed cycle.
• Assist to close the service requests from customers within the service level agreement
• Assist Prepare and submitting a timely incident report
• Assist in follow-up scheduling of equipment daily/weekly maintenance work or a job request.
• Make recommendations to the management on ways to improve the facilities.
• Assist with any additional/ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors as and when the need arises

Required Knowledge and Skills

Technical Knowledge & Experience:

• Minimum Three year experience in building facilities or related environment
• Welcome fresh Nitec/Diploma holder
• Knowledge in Mechanical/Ventilation and Air Conditioning (MVAC) System, Building M&E services functions are an added advantage
• Possesses strong leadership and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, problem-solving skills and able to communicate well at all levels
• Must be a team player, and have a sense of responsibility to meet the objectives of the organization
• Hands-on experience on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Education:

· Possess at least a NITEC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or any related field

Duties and Responsibilities

To manage a condominium’s daily operations and to carry out policies set by the condo management board such as;

- Carry out inspections and provide inputs to the planning and execution Building Improvement Works

- Provide technical evaluation, monitor and ensure work completion in accordance with Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act (BMSMA) and relevant governmental requirements

- Liaise, schedule and supervise all maintenance works to ensure that contract service providers perform all contractual obligations under various term contracts Maintain the operational, safe and efficient operation of the M&E systems covering the following key systems & equipment.

- Plan preventive works schedule, conduct and supervise inspections of building and grounds to identify defects/irregularities and follow-up on rectification works

- Procure service contracts and ad hoc repair/replacement parts and equipment’s

- Conduct system audit and scheduled after hours inspection on security services and lighting

- Manage and attend to residents' requests, feedbacks and response their request promptly

Qualification / Education Required

- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

- Minimum 2 years in facility management / relevant experience in MCST

- Good presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills

- Strong client engagement skills, and customer orientation

- Able to work with tight deadlines and handle pressure

- Able to work independently as well as in a team
