• We are looking for an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to lead quality initiatives across our supplier network for thermal cooling solutions in the electronics and computing sectors, with an emphasis on mechanical processes such as metal stamping, forging, brazing, die casting, CNC machining, and milling. The successful candidate will ensure supplier quality and process reliability, collaborating closely with suppliers to meet our high standards for product excellence in both electrical and mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Quality Monitoring & Improvement: Develop and implement systems to monitor supplier quality, ensuring that materials, components, and mechanical parts (e.g., stamped, forged, and machined metals) comply with quality standards. Identify and resolve non-conformance issues with suppliers.
• Supplier Process Optimization: Work together with suppliers to optimize their processes, including metalworking processes such as CNC machining, milling, die casting, forging, and stamping, improving yield and ensuring consistent quality of materials and components.
• Abnormal Quality Issue Management: Take charge of addressing and resolving abnormal quality issues, especially in mechanical processes, by implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Supplier Audits & Compliance: Perform audits to evaluate suppliers' quality systems, including their capabilities in metalworking and mechanical processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards. Initiate improvement actions based on audit results.
• Supplier Development: Collaborate with suppliers to enhance their mechanical quality processes and tooling designs (fixtures and jigs), ensuring alignment with company standards and customer expectations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate seamless communication and alignment on both mechanical and electrical quality expectations by coordinating with design, production, and procurement teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by partnering with suppliers to enhance their quality management systems, particularly in mechanical manufacturing practices such as tooling, fixture design, and metalworking.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in supplier quality engineering or mechanical quality control, particularly in a manufacturing or electronics industry setting.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, forging, brazing, die casting, CNC machining, and milling, including the design and manufacture of fixtures and jigs.
• Proven experience in supplier quality engineering, particularly in a mechanical or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of supplier quality management systems and standards, with an emphasis on both mechanical and electrical component quality.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities related to mechanical processes and metalworking techniques.
• Knowledge of supplier audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement processes, especially for mechanical components and processes.
• Six Sigma certification or similar qualification is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work abroad in China and Vietnam for a minimum of 10 months per year (includes four round-trip tickets to Singapore annually and separate arrangements for living accommodations).

A Snapshot

As the Senior Solutions Engineer reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering, you will work closely with the rest of the Technology team, as well as other stakeholders, making your mark in a number of ways:

• Support the team by learning and understanding the customer requirement
• Help to drive the delivery of the customer solution and product through the complete data centre cycle
• Support translating customer requirements into key design projects of our data centres in the APAC region and in preparing presentations to customers and executives.

Your Day to Day

• Manage RFP proposal and deliver key technical / engineering documents.
• Review and analyze RFP to understand Customer requirements.
• Lead the production of key technical and sales collateral – High Level M&E Schematic and Technical presentation materials
• Develop high-level space planning and engineering solutions for our customers
• Involved in pioneering various engineering solutions relating to design, calculations and other engineering aspects
• Development of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Lead the preparation of pitch decks, presentation packs and collateral for customers and executives.
• Lead the coordination within the internal teams to gather necessary information for proposal development.
• Manage workshop, technical session and meeting with Customer.
• Collaborate with internal stake holders to ensure the final solutions meets our Customer needs and aligned with company goals.
• Manage and support Customer on their fitout requirement – prepare demarcation schedule.
• Manage direct communication from internal and external stakeholders.
• Involve in the negotiation with Customer on technical aspects, technical deviations and alternative solutions. Review Technical Exhibits of the Customer lease.
• Lead technical tours and presentation for new and existing Customer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years experience in Building Design, Engineering, and relevant field. Experience in Customer engagement is an advantage.
• Fluent in MS Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) and good knowledge of BlueBeam and AutoCad
• Good knowledge of CFD.

• Strong communication skills are a must – written, presentation, verbal at all levels

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance of XDC black utilities systems, including chillers, boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, electrical panels, plumbing, and other related systems.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance, ensuring all work is recorded in work orders.
• Conduct hands-on repair work as needed.
• Identify equipment weaknesses and resolve issues independently without supervision.
• Contribute to energy-saving initiatives.
• Participate in project phases, including identifying discrepancies during walk-downs and leading utility commissioning phases.
