REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering) or related field.
• Experience in automation engineering, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry.

The Role:

In this position, you will provide first-level on-site support for end-user operations within the organization. You’ll be responsible for understanding and managing complex technical issues in a fast-paced business environment. Your key tasks will include maintaining, managing, administering, and operating VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon VDI environments and applications. You will perform daily administrative tasks such as maintenance, upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations for these environments. Monitoring, alerting, and fine-tuning the VDI environments will also be crucial.

Additionally, you will assess risks associated with virtual machines and VDI applications, conducting contingency planning as needed. Troubleshooting VMware workloads and assisting in the evaluation and recommendation of related hardware, software, and services will be part of your responsibilities. Staying current with developments in virtual machine technologies and providing on-call, 24/7 support on a rotating basis is essential. You will implement corrective measures to resolve production issues and minimize unplanned outages.
