The incumbent will be supporting the programme management function in the new MSc in Strategic Analysis and Innovation (MSI) programme. This programme is helmed by NUS Business School (MSc Programmes Office).

Overall Programme Management

The Role

This role is part of Schroders’ Risk and Compliance community, which has about 100 professional staff and provides support for 27 countries worldwide including Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and Australia in Asia Pacific.

This role will be based in Singapore providing compliance support to management and business function heads of Schroders Singapore for its business activities covering the South East Asia (“SEA”) region. The individual will work very closely with the Compliance, Legal and Risk teams in Asia Pacific.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Advise on rules and regulations associated with the Schroders Singapore’s current and proposed business activities including new business initiatives, new products and new client relationships across SEA.

2. To oversee Schroders Singapore’s compliance with local laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures on AML and to carry out regular assessments of their adequacy in proportion to the risk, nature, scale and complexity of the business.

2.Responsible for collecting, producing, submitting, and maintaining various data reports for the department, excluding anti-money laundering and custody operations.

3.Assist in business data analysis, drafting business management reports, and streamlining and improving business operation processes.

4.Coordinate with other departments to process UAT for internal systems onboarding.

5.Manage tasks assignment and monitoring within the department, plan and organize department training, provide administrative support such as onboarding new employees and expense reimbursement.

6.Assist and support account managers in opening, maintaining, and closing the accounts for financial institution clients.

7.Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements:

1.Over 3 years of experience in the financial industry, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent service orientation and communication skills.

2.Familiar with banking financial products, business processes, and risk management, and knowledgeable about relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

3.Proficient in business analysis and report writing.

4.Highly skilled in various office software, with the ability to handle complex spreadsheets, data analysis, and create presentations.

5.Exceptionally capable candidates may be considered regardless of industry experience and years of service.

6. Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English, capable of writing reports in both languages in order to report to Head Office and communicate with Chinese speaking customers.

7. Demonstrate strong teamwork spirit and sense of responsibility, along with high adaptability and resilience under pressure.

Job Duties:

Partnership and Grant Management

• Manage the new auditor contract from FY2024, including tracking and analysis of contract budget utilisation.
• Manage invoices from and payments to the auditor
• Track and report on the utilisation of the approved contract value
• Assess grant applications and closure reports

Data Management

• Manage development and execution of partnership surveys and analysis of responses
• Consolidate survey findings, visualisations, and insights into a report
• Collate engagement logs and prepare submission to Customer Relationship Management System (CRMS) and Central Stakeholder Repository (CSR)
• Review CSR monthly access review
• Assist in the Impact Assessment Study

Job Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in partnership management or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous with an eye for details and figures
• Able to multi-task and prioritise work effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Experience with grant management or administration of funds is a plus
• Able to work independently and in a team
