Job Description

The Web Developer will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the School of Public Health website, the school’s respective research centres’ subsites/ microsites, as well as being the technical liaison to the school’s IT team as well as central NUS IT team.

He / She will be part of the communications team playing a crucial role in designing, developing and maintaining the online presence of the school, and provide support in marketing and communications efforts of the school.

Duties & Responsibilities
i. Work closely with the internal communications team on managing content that is under the supervision of the school.
ii. Update the core WordPress, manage plugin license and update the plug-ins as well as centrally perform UAT before going 'live' across all sites.
iii. Serve as the technical liaison between the communications and the School's as well as NUS' IT teams in matters of web development, content management, and related IT policies regarding governance, security and compliance matters.
iv. Building Wordpress templates when necessary in accordance with the school’s branding guidelines.
v. Build and maintain pages and content where necessary for school and respective research centres.
vi. Work across multiple teams within the school to manage and build content.
vii. Apply best SEO practices (primarily technical and on-page) to optimise and ensure performance of the content and the websites under the supervision of the school.
viii. Where required, scope project requirements, prepare budgets, and develop detailed project plans for design and development of new microsites. Work closely with internal teams and vendors to oversee all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
ix. Coordinate rectification of central NUS IT Security scan with independently and/ or with vendors.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience and strong portfolio in web development for Wordpress websites (including mobile friendly, responsive websites), as well as content management using the Wordpress content management system.
- Familiarity with WordPress Multisite instances would be advantageous.
- Solid experience working with popular coding libraries (e.g. React JS, Angular JS, Code Igniter, Laravel).
- Solid proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and managing MySQL databases.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, independent individual who takes ownership of the role to improve skillset or offer best practices.

Responsibilities:

· To be part of the Regional Team to plan, manage and develop MIMS healthcare online platform.

· Working closely with tech team, marketing team, customer service, and content team, plan user growth plan for our online platform.

· Working closely with the tech team and project managers, plan and manage new feature or updated feature development.

· Understand service and business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

· Research and understand competitor landscape and feed it to product planning.

· Support incoming enquiries from internal teams, e.g. sales support, customer service, about MIMS.com and its capabilities.

· Plan and setup both short and long-term strategy and tactics for MIMS online platform.

Create and maintain product specification document.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Required

· Minimum 4 years hands-on working experience as a web application product manager.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.

· 3+ years of hands-on experience on product development planning with active utilization of RICE framework.

· Experience planning UIUX improvement and new value adding function planning working with the UIUX designers.

· 4+ years of experience working in online service company and have completed at least 3 full project life cycle of medium to large size web-based public facing application development (5 or more project members, 100K sessions/month or more traffic).

Ability to write and maintain good technical documentation.

· Entrepreneur mindset, e.g. willing to try something new, being resilient with conflicts and moving in an outcome oriented manner.

· Able to work independently as well as in a team (composed of members from various departments, e.g. marketing, project manager, software developer, sales support, customer support, etc.)

· Possess good communication skills in English

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, Marketing or another related field.

Added Value

· Hands-on and working experience in website /mobile app development project management. Have understanding and working experience on the holistic development process such as requirement gathering, specification defining, effort estimation, implementation, testing, release planning, and post launch follow-up.

· Experience as a web application software engineer. (Public facing service)

· Experience on digital marketing along with several of the digital marketing and associated tools, e.g. Google analytics, digital Ads, search console, email platform, google tag manager, AB Test tool, chatbot, UI heatmap visualizer, Google looker studio

Responsibilities:

• To be part of the Regional Team to develop and evolve a healthcare online platform and its related system and applications that are deployed in various deployment models and used in several countries.
• As the project manager for the online application development project, your responsibility is to lead the team ensuring the timely completion of development while meeting the required scope and maintaining high-quality standards. You are also required to handle the project planning work (Requirement gathering, scope defining, effort estimation, timeline planning, WBS construction, etc.) at the early phase of the project.
• To be responsible in various maintenance support activities for the respective assigned project such as application upgrade, bug fixing, feature enhancement, system/application deployment, and user support.
• Understand business needs and translate them into service and technical requirements.
• Contribute to increase in user traffic and user engagement to our web and mobile applications via new feature or updated feature development.
• Working with the technical leads, provide task management and technical mentoring/guidance to the team members to realize and deliver required implementation, as well as to improve overall practices.
• Coordination with other teams (QC/BA/Customer Service /etc) to carry out development goals.
• Understand, conduct POCs/RDs and follow technical trends in the industry.
• Support incoming enquiries from internal teams, e.g. sales support, customer service, about MIMS.com and its capabilities.
• Alongside quality assurance manager, coordinate in conducting testing cycle for MIMS.com and other related systems and applications.
• Use database queries, log analytic tools, or other related tools to analyze performance indicators, evaluate experiments, etc.
• Working with the technical lead, facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product code, deployment workflow, scheduling, planning, as well as maintaining technical product documentation, SOP and guidelines related to MIMS.com.
• Assist the team leader and/or immediate supervisor to define the core technical solutions and provide recommendations in selection/implementation of software framework or architecture.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working in online service offering company and have completed at least 2 full project life cycle or medium to large size web-based public facing applications (5 or more project members, 20K sessions/month or more traffic).
• Minimum 3 years hands-on working experience as a web application project manager.
• 3+ years of experience as a web application software engineer.
• Familiar and experience in website and mobile app development, as well as assessing, implementing, testing, and analyzing UI/UX designs, improvements and strategies.
• Proven experience in delivering successful digital products using various delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Incremental, etc)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including delivery, marketing, developers, designers, and testers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Experience planning UIUX improvement and new value adding function planning.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical skills and knowledgeable with latest online service development technology.
