Job Description

As a Video Editor Intern, you will be instrumental in the creation and editing of video content, teasers, and thumbnails while assisting in production shoots. This role offers hands-on experience in video production, content creation, and digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production:

- Assist in pre-production tasks such as preparing for shoots, setting up equipment, and creating shot lists.

- Operate camera, lighting, and sound equipment during production shoots.

- Support the team on set to ensure a smooth production process.

Video Editing:

- Edit video content for various platforms, including social media, promotional materials, and long-form projects.

- Create engaging teasers, thumbnails, and graphics for videos.

- Collaborate with the team to ensure that videos align with brand and project objectives.

Content Creation:

- Occasionally conceptualize and create original, copyright-compliant content for social media.

- Repurpose video assets into short clips or reels for different platforms.

Administrative Support:

- Maintain an organized library of video assets, ensuring efficient retrieval.

- Assist in coordinating schedules and logistics for shoots.

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field.

- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).

- Familiarity with social media platforms and the types of video content they require.

- Basic skills in graphic design tools like Photoshop or Canva for creating thumbnails.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a creative environment.

- Highly organized, with attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude.

- Previous experience in video production or editing is a plus, but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for independently developing, designing, and finalizing various types of digital marketing materials, such as product webpages, social posts, banners, etc.
• Using the product design narrative, you will gather and analyze thematic images including style, color and other images, to create the product's key visual and webpage.
• Collaborate with the supervisor to determine the design direction and gather input from various departments to finalize the design.
• Work closely with Product Marketing teams and Front-end engineers to ensure effective communication and cooperation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in web design
• Minimum of 3 years related experience.
• Proficient with Webflow, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, AI tools and a good understanding of HTML & CSS.
• Strong design acumen, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive projects.
• Strong knowledge of the creative development process.
• Great sense of typography, iconography, color theory, and visual composition.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, respond to multiple priorities, and meet varying deadlines.

• Responsible for full editorial process from commissioning, manuscript submission to publication
• Perform desk editing and project management for books and journals
• Maintain positive collaborative relationship with all stakeholders
• Provide secretarial support to Chairman
• Handle all Chinese correspondences (emails, phone calls) for Chairman
• Coordinate meetings, appointments, events relating to Chinese Associations and Societies, including setting venues where necessary
• Provide Chinese to English translation and vice versa when required
• Any ad hoc duties when required by the Management.

Requirements

• Good university degree preferably in Chinese studies or in any field.
• Strong organizational skills, meticulous, self-initiative, able to handle multiple priorities.
• Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a dynamic, international environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have initiative, creativity, and a keen eye for detail.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Prior experience in publishing will be given preference
