About our Team
Our Global Markets team services financial institutions, corporates, governments, asset managers and hedge funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in equity and fixed income securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. By leveraging the strength of our intellectual capital, client relationships and technology, we offer best-in-class products across a truly integrated, global cross-asset platform. About the Program
Being part of our Graduate Internship program means you will gain first-hand experience and insights to a career in markets. You will have the opportunity to feel our culture, acquire valuable on-the-job training and expand your network. This program is a key pipeline for our Graduate Analyst Program in Asia.
The Graduate Internship will start around February 2025 and run for nine weeks in our Singapore office. You will be provided with an orientation, followed by on-going training on the desk. You will join one of the teams in Global Markets, ranging from Sales, Structuring, Trading, and Research, in order to give you a meaningful experience and help you develop by providing you with diverse responsibilities throughout the program.
Sales: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with institutional clients, including pension funds, hedge funds, insurance companies and other corporate clients.
Trading: Assisting the trading desk in buying and selling securities on behalf of clients or the firm; market making and capital commitment.
Structuring: Designing and developing innovative products and strategies for Nomura's clients, in partnership with the trading function, to create a risk management strategy for structured transactions and, together with sales, to create a marketing strategy for our products.
Research: Collecting, analysing and assessing industry and company information to assist the research analysts in providing market insight and investment ideas for institutional investors and internal clients.
About You

Eligibility
We welcome diversity in our teams and would encourage students from all background and disciplines. Candidates applying for this program must be available to commit for the entire duration of the Graduate Internship (February to April 2025) and commence for Graduate Analyst Program by July 2025. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, while additional Asian language skills will be a value-add.
